Rothco G.I. Style 5-Button Sweater

This sweater is nice enough to wear with a peacoat and slacks as a somewhat dressy outfit, but also tough enough to wear in the garage or outdoors.The buttons did look and feel rather cheap, so I cut them off and sewed some better ones on. Other than that it's a great garment - warm, comfortable, stylish, and durable.

I am familiar with Rothco products and, outside of normal wear and tear, they hold up to daily use.There are two things to note: If you think that the size might be remotely 'tight' order the larger size. I wear a Large normally (6'2") and the XL sweater fits *just right* - it's long enough to not ride up too much.Secondly, make sure that you watch the stitching. the cuff on my left arm started unraveling shortly after I got it - so a bit of work on my end (5 mins. of stitching) fixed the problem.I wear this constantly as it is comfortable, warm and is a nice addition to my everyday clothes in the Pacific North West. I'd recommend it but just keep an eye on the stitching and fix as need be.

I searched all the reviews and only found one that mentioned "Made in India". If you are like me, you want to avoid things made in China.I would suggest getting a size bigger than you wear in a US size shirt.Great overall product. I would recommend this to someone else.

I've been looking for a sweater like the one I wore while I was on Submarines, and this looks, fits, and is just as warm and comfortable as the issued sweater I had 20 years ago. Even though this sweater is acrylic instead of wool it's just as warm you don't have to worry about it shrinking like the wool one.

Great sweater of good material and quality. Fit is an issue I wear an L. Ordered L and it fit slim Medium at best. Saw another review where buyer claimed sweater was designed not to layer. Maybe but sizing is off. Returned and bought an XL from another company as none were available on Amazon.

If you like layering this sweater is for you, warm, washable and wears pretty good.

Nothing bad about this. A snug fit as it was the original it is a copy of. It's meant to be worn as a middle layer so it's a little more snug to fit under your jacket or coat.It's not as warm as wool, but it's much easier to take care of since it doesn't need to be dry cleaned and won't shrink if it gets wet.

It will fit quite snug, so get a bigger size if you want it fir comfort vs warmth...

Great sweater, kept me war, even in light rain. 100% recommend for anyone wanting a more retro looking military sweater.
