Monolith M1570 Over Ear Open Back Balanced Planar Headphones - with Plush, Padded Headband, Removable Earpads, Low Distortion for Studio, Black

The sound is alright and a bit better than the old m1060. The weight is ridiculous at 700 grams and can only be worn for short periods. The lambskin pads are nice but the velours feel like an after thought. The cable is also like Audeze but using different pins which is kind of stupid as two or 3 companies use the same pins and you can interchange cables.I can't recommend these for the price due to the sound which is good but the extreme weight but do think the cheaper one might be better value. I am returning to monoprice. There have all been reports of over current protection being triggered on the SE cable. $400 would make more sense but he headband needs to be address again.

These are big and heavy headphones but they do sound great with a pretty balanced sound signature. For the price the quality of sound coming out of these headphones is top notch. The build quality is average but they still feel pretty solid.

This M1570 is much better than my M1060C. The M1570 needed some "break in" period, after a few weeks (like close to 100 hours), the sound quality greatly improved.It is open back so I can only use it for my desktop setup. It is driven by Monoprice's dual THX/AAA DAC/AMP desktop headphone amplifier. USB connection to mac for Apple music. Optical connection to Playstation for gaming. Now I just hope Monoprice will provide the balanced XLR cable for the M1570 "soon" (since 2019).One star off for Comfort because of the 700g weight. The thick pads and headband are fine for me.

I liked these with several amps just fine. However, when paired with my iFi Pro iCAN, using X-boost and 3D it is almost listening to speakers. Wow!They are heavy if you are a frail person or have issues with weight on your neck or shoulders.I am loving these although I have to tie them up to increase clamp. You ONLY use these sitting still.

These are my new favourites of my collection/ They are heavy tanks that are amazing for the price. Balanced, warm, full body sound, great punchy plainer bass. A bit warm mid range with stunning clarity, nice detailed highs without being forward and shouty, with amazing resolution. Steeler imaging and great sound stage.

This is the first time I have actually heard real sharp crystal clear vocals in a song while wearing headphones. I have tried all the sub 500$ cans but the 1570 is in another stratosphere. I have it paired with the Drop balance sdac and the fancy monolith thx headphone amp. Highly recommended and a great way to get into god tier headphones
