What kind of cable cane with the monitor? A display port and an HDMI port are two different things. I would first check to see what your refresh rate is in the settings of the monitor before purchasing a different cord.

Does this support 1080p 360hz? i have an asus pg259qnr that’s 1080 360hz.

I have it running 1080 280hz no problem I bet it would work for 360hz. Free return if it doesn't work so why not try. Not had any drop out or black screen since switching to this cable.
