I bought this for my cat who has the ability to get out of collars. I bought this because he was constantly going back to our old home. It did manage to get the message one to whoever was feeding him but disappeared after a few weeks. Out of the blue someone called at my house to day to say he found the collar and I was shocked to see the collar broke before the breakaway buckle worked. It is light, it is stretchy, and looks nice but I have serious concerns with regard to it's safety if the actual collar breaks before the safety catch! In cat collar terms it was expensive and I would not buy again. I would return it for a refund if I was able! It should have had a life of my than a few weeks max. I might add it has been missing for months!

I think the cost is a bit steep for what this is - basically, a glorified rubber band. Having said that, it can't be denied that it is soft, light in weight and therefore, one assumes, much more comfortable for the cat.Mine managed to scratch off the standard type of breakaway collars by forcing the breakaway clasp. He does try to do the same with this one but, so far, he hasn't succeeded - so the clasp must be a little more robust than the one on the standard collar.This is not such a worry in terms of accidental strangulation should he snag the collar on something because, being slightly elastic, it will stretch and not restrict his airway. Hopefully, by then, the breakaway clasp will give and release him.The little shiny metal studs that attach the collar to both parts of the breakaway clasp (one shaped like a stylised fish) stand out against the coloured band material and add a bit of 'bling'.The bell is also smaller than ones you find on cheaper standard collars but I had to remove it as it was driving my cat crazy and he kept trying to get it in his mouth!I did have to cut a portion off the end of the collar once I had adjusted it to the proper fit using the buckle because the excess 'tail' would stick out from under the collar and cause further irritation to my cat - though it does say you can do this in the instructions. The clip down cover for this buckle is a really good addition as it makes the collar adjustment more secure and gives a better, less cluttered look the the collar. The choice of colours are good too, giving the whole thing a contemporary feel.

Looks really great on my cat and I'm pretty impressed as she's a collar houdini yet it's still on her. The bell is just like any regular cat collar bell and I'm sure the wildlife appreciate it. She hasn't brought me back any mice or birds since I put it on her so that's excellent. Will buy again, because she will eventually inevtiably lose it.UPDATE: She still has it and it still looks amazing. This collar has lasted her the longest so far.

My young cat has figured out how to hunt and catch mice. Notice I say 'hunt and catch', still to figure out the kill part hence 4 live mice in the last 24 hours. Time for the collar and bell. She is in a mood now but oh my she looks so grown up! And hopefully the mice will cease to be a problem. I hope it stops her from catching any more local wildlife.Update: I have changed my opinion of this collar as my cat's neck now has no fur left and is covered in scabs and broken skin. Waste of my money. Very annoyed!

Lovely collar!! Perfect for a cat or as in my case a growing male kitten ... at 4 months old he's very large, outweighing his sister by nearly a whole kilo ... he's adorable but he's well & truly outgrown his kitten collar hence I purchased the Kittyrama Aqua one. It's lightweight, cool to the touch and very importantly it's flexible so quite stretchy ... my little boy loves it. The colour and little embellishments on it are lovely too, so a very good purchase that I would be very happy to recommend!Well done Kittyrama!!

Great collar! Have had safety clasp collars in the past that my cat was able to take off himself waaaay too easily but I like that this is a buckle collar with a safety clasp as a back up rather than the main opener. It hasn’t come off since I put it on and he did try to take it off himself and wasn’t successful! I was able to slide my cats slider tag on pretty easily as well and it hasn’t come off either. I like that it’s silicone so that it doesn’t rub on his fur which has also been an issue previously and its a bit more hygienic than fabric collars as I can give it a clean and put back on. Thought it was a little pricey at first for a collar but honestly it’s well worth the money and is obviously a quality product. Gave it a few pulls myself before putting on the cat and don’t think the collar band itself would snap or break because the safety clasp would open before that were to happen but the clasp also is not going to open with the slightest tug. Can see why it’s vet recommended! Highly recommend it myself.

My moggie and best mate in the whole wide world destroys collars as fast as Superman can fly through a building. This one, at least thus far, has proven Newt-proof. It's visually a nice collar, well made, adjustable, and has a proper release clasp that would give way in a tangle but doesn't fall off. I'm quite pleased. And, the colour matches my living room decor, so bonus. ;)

Love this collar , it does exactly what is claims and keeps my cat cool under the collar , even on the occasional sunny day we may have , when he likes to lay in full sun.Unfortunately he does suffer with a harvest mite allergy in the summer and he gets nasty sores from scratching , so I did have to remove the collarfor a couple of weeks until his medication kicked in . But the irritation he had suffered around the neck was nothing in comparison to previous years in ordinary collars.He loves , I love it that he loves it - we are all happy !!
