Great chalk worth the money
I use this chalk as it is much better than the house stuff and I find I don't have to chalk as much and I get better hold.

Does not adhere to cue stick. Honestly the worst chalk I've ever used.
I wish i read the reviews on Amazon before relying on some billiards website's own chalk comparative review. What i do like about the "red" Lava chalk is that it's not loaded with dye. It's not really red either. It's a light salmon color. Red Master chalk is VERY red and stains everything. However, red Lava just falls off my cue tip... *while I'm applying it*! I literally cannot get red Lava to coat my tip, let alone remain there after several shots. Red Master, on the other hand, is really soft and quickly makes a nice velvety coat that stays on for at least 5 shots.I'm actually super-impressed with red Master chalk's performance. Probably the best chalk I've used in any color, though i have never tried the much-touted Kamui offerings. But the staining nature of red Master made me seek an alternative for red tables. Not many chalk choices in red so i took a chance on red Lava. Lesson learned. Red Lava is truly terrible chalk. Do not buy it.

Eh, so-so
Not terrible, im just not a fan of how "gritty" it is when its also so soft. It applies ok I just feel its always to thin of a coat. I prefer a softer chalk , but with its price point ill go with magic chalk all day long. Lava can't touch how thick of a coat you get with magic chalk, and its not as smooth. I feel they grip about the same but again magic comes out on top.

Sucks
Most expensive chalk I've ever bought and played the worst

Don’t waste your money
This chalk has fairly large rocks throughout the cube, when chalking I actually gouged my kamui tip because of how sharp the rock was. Aside from being full of rocks I did like how it chalked and didn’t leave a lot on the table.2 stars for ruining a $50 tip.If you need a red chalk just buy master chalk, half the price and a better product

thought it would be better than my blue diamond chalks
thought it would be better than my blue diamond chalks. guess not. there are little chunks of powder in this chalk that scratches my cue tipevery time I use this chalk. have to carefully avoid those chunks or use my nail to take out those chunks in the chalk. my conclusion is, buyblue diamonds and dont waste your money here.
