I bought this item because I prefer to hook my keys to the belt loops on my pants. Usually, I just grabbed any carabiner that I could get ahold of. This was unwise, as every single carabiner until this one broke. Usually the spring inside of the spring gate broke resulting in the carabiner gate swinging freely. Before the purchase of this carabiner, I have even lost things clipped to the carabiner.This carabiner, however, is noticably more sturdy than every carabiner I have purchased before. Even bending it with my hands to test its resistance to force revealed it was much more durable than the carabiner I used prior to replacing it with this one.The locking gate is also a plus, because it secures whatever is hooked on to the carabiner without the worry of the carabiner's gate opening due to being pressed up against something such as when laying down, inside pockets, or an object being against it.This carabiner carries the same "Not for Climbing" brand as other carabiners I have purchased, but I can tell that it will last for much, much longer. Not only is this a better quality carabiner for the price I spent, but I was also pleasantly surprised when the shipment arrived two days early.

Firstly, I don't use these for climbing and I don't know if they are certified for such.They are marked 7075 AL and 12KN, the spring gates are tight and crisp. The size, I would consider, medium. I use them on my backpack and to hold various gear like a water bottle to a shoulder sling while walking around events, etc.

Some videos show these are strong. I think they could be but for the price they are for the kids to play with. Some of the wire clips stick open and need twisted to close

I purchased this carabiner to attach to my backpack so I can items off of it.With winter coming up I wold like to be able to secure hats, gloves and other items securely off of my pack so they can dry with out getting the inside of my pack wet.The carabiner is well made for this purpose. I have not load tested this particular item. But, after using a smaller one sold my the same company I have no doubt that it will perform as promised under the designed loads and applications. The other smaller version supported my weight for 30 seconds with out failing or losing shape. I am planning on ordering more with in the next few months.

I got these for a specific purpose, but quickly found more uses and had to order more! Easy one-handed clipping, light weight, and sturdy. Good for hanging things all over my camper van, clipping the dog's leash to things, etc. I kind of wish the gate opened a little bit wider, but I don't want to go up to a bigger size. Overall, I love them!
