I Was Impressed
I had to drill through some hardened steel and wasn’t very confident. This bit went through it easily and is still sharp. I highly recommend.

hex drive drill bit
This is a replacement for a bit that I loaned that never came back. It is identical in length and appearance to the DeWalt bit that it replaces.

Its my mistake
My below average is partly my mistake. I believed the advertising. These bits are titanium coated. The coating quickly wears off when cutting steel. I was drilling holes in knife blanks. I needed solid carbide drill bits, but didn't realize the difference. I made the mistake of reading Amazon reviews. I realize some people dramatically represent the quality of the product. I could get 3-4 holes out of each bit. Then I found out Carbide bits is what I needed. Much more expensive. But worth it.

Tough As Nails - Highly Recommend!
So I have a drill bit kit that I've had for years made by Hitachi. It has drill bits ranging from 1/16in up to 1/4in. Over time I've broken several bits which I have tried to replace with OEM parts when available. When I wasn't able to find a Hitachi brand 1/4in, I opted for this Bosch 1/4-Inch Impact Tough Titanium Drill Bit for about $5 shipped to my door. The other day I needed to drill 4 holes 5/8in in diameter into my welding table which is made of 1/2in thick plate steel. I wanted to drill pilot holes with something smaller than the 5/8 so I grabbed this new Bosch 1/4in drill bit. I thought surely at the first pull of the trigger on my impact driver I would strip out this 1/4in drill bit from its hex shank. Let me tell you - I drilled all four pilot holes with this one 1/4in drill bit through 1/2in thick plate steel with no problems whatsoever. Sure I went slow .. 300-400 rpm maybe? And I stopped every couple minute or two to brush away the chips and give a squirt of oil to cool and lubricate. And when I was finished, I had four nice clean holes and the drill bit looked good as new. That just never happens to me! I highly recommend the Bosch TI2143IM 1/4-Inch Impact Tough Titanium Drill Bit. I'm going to buy at least one of each size to replenish all of the drill bits in my Hitachi kit. Good day to all!

I should have noted length of drill bit
This is about half the length of the drill bit I was replacing. My fault for not paying more attention to details.

Good for most jobs
Good for most jobs, but a little short.

Barely made a mark on steel
The smallest bit broke immediately - when attempting to drill steel. I wasn't heavy handed. The next smallest bit didn't break but it barely made a mark on the steel. Tried the same bit in wood and it went through. If you are looking for wood bits then these are probably ok. For metal - don't bother (even though they claim to be able to on the pack)

Bosch siempre me sorprende
