Vermont Castings 5004237 Replacement Nickle Finish Steel Handle

The stove for which I bought this handle is 41 years old and working well. I needed to replace the hardware that opens and closes the double doors at the front of the stove. The stove is a Vermont Castings so I felt confident in buying replacement parts from them.

Not only was the product shipped in a timely manner and arrived on time, but it's also a Vermont Castings product so I know it will function properly. The price was very reasonable, and I'm extremely happy with this transaction.

little expensive for the handle but it works just fine for my stove which is the Intrepid 2, not sure how long this will last as I have already had 2 handles brake due to the roll pin snapping.

Going to the sellers site they sell oem handles and also more expensive aftermarkets handles. The aftermarket handles which these are for $29 have the incorrect thread and shank size.

This fit and is working great on my vigilant . I’m refurbishing a woodstove and am happy with this part .

It look very nice will be a welcome look to my wood stove once it's done.

This part looks like it should work well, however both ends were problematic. The part that inserts into the stove was 1/64" too large, which meant I had to purchase a reamer to enlarge the hole in the door of the stove for the part to fit. Then, to add insult to injury, the screw of the wooden handle would not fit into the other end, necessitating the use of a tap and die set to ream out the hole. Finally, after much labor and use of tools that should not have had to be used, I got everything to work together.

I thought I would have a difficult time finding this part. Its a good quality part.

The original handle for the Vermont Castings stove is discontinued, this fits perfectly.
