Great plates if using with bumper plates
Ordered a set of 45 lbs to test with my Rampage bumper plates. I needed 45 lbs plates shorter than my bumpers so, when deadlifting, the bumpers would be the only point of contact with the ground (to protect flooring). These plates fit the bill nicely. They arrived on time and in excellent condition. I haven't experienced any of the things mentioned in the negative reviews. The weights are accurate, the paint is great, there are absolutely no sharp edges in the grip holes. Mine are as smooth as a babies bottom! These plates slide on/off my power barbells with ease. The fit is perfect. The price is also great. Cheapest I could find for the quality. I like them so much, I'm going to order an additional set of 45 lbs after I finish this review. If you're in need of shorter plates to pair with bumper plates, look no further. "These ARE the plates you're looking for!"

Provides what's advertised
If you need to go up in 5 lb increments then these are an easy, cheap option. I haven't weighed them to check how exact they are, but for the price you can't beat it. I haven't dropped them but they seem durable and a good addition to your Olympic weight plate collection if you need a smaller increment increase.

Cancer Free Lifts
I ordered 6 of these so far (2x25, 2x10, 2x2.5) and my bodyweight scale measured each 25# one as 25.0 lbs on the nose. It's not a hyper-accurate scale, but it's relatively accurate to within +- 0.2 lbs. I plan to order 45s, 35s, and 5s to complete my set.Pros:• I love the grips and the hammered metal finish (certain paints are capable of producing that hammered look when dry).• Absolutely cannot beat the price for the 45s, 25s, 10s, and 2.5s. The 35s and the 5s break the pattern of ridiculously cheap, but they're still not too bad for what you get.• Each weight (25 lb) shipped separately in its own box to minimize potential damage from shipping, something I appreciate.Cons:• As others have said, the inner 2" diameter cutout was roughly finished, but this was only true of the larger 25# weights I ordered, NOT the smaller ones. Both of my two 25# weights came with some sharp burred edges, but a quick touch with my Dremel, and everything was sorted out. Alternatively, one could touch up the sharp/rough patches with a metal file. Either way, this was not a big deal for me, and I placed my order fully expecting to encounter this.• Of the three sets I ordered, the 2.5# weights took much longer to ship (roughly 3 weeks), but arrived promptly after shipping (within 2 days). No big deal for me, but just beware you may have to wait for your full set.Aside note:• I'm amused by people who see the Prop 65 warning for the first time in their lives thinking these barbell weights are going to give them cancer. You can tell these people are either not from California, or they do not buy many products aimed at California markets. To clarify: California requires, by law, a warning label on all products sold in the state when those products contain one or more statutorily defined chemicals "known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm." This can include lead or lead-based paint. Yes, lead is a known carcinogen, and lead paint is toxic. It is also very common. The truth is, many of these one-star reviewers have likely encountered this substance in their own states WITHOUT such a warning. For instance, bullets and air rifle pellets are overwhelmingly manufactured with lead as the main component. Lead is used in older formulations of pewter. Lead is commonly included in industrial paints. In fact, in older communities, lead was a material commonly used in potable water pipes to carry drinking water from city supplies into homes. While I am only guessing, I'd say the warning probably applies to the paint, which is likely lead-based.So, what can you do to minimize adverse health effects from handling these barbells? The single biggest thing you can do to stay safe is not to eat the paint. Yes, I'm serious. Don't be tempted to lick it, however tasty it may appear, and don't let your children lick the barbells either. The other thing is to simply wash your hands like a civilized person after handling the weights. You should be in this habit anyway. Do these things, and if you still get cancer, I promise it was probably from something else.Lol. Sometimes, you people really amuse me. Carcinogenic barbell weights. What will you internets think of next?By the way, ethanol (the kind of grain alcohol in drinks like beer, wine, and other distilled spirits) is a known carcinogen. You'd be surprised what common products in every day life are carcinogenic. Common medications like benzodiazipines, barbiturates, albuterol, and atorvastatin are carcinogenic; also carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, carbon tetrachloride and many other aromatic hydrocarbons... to date, the list has accumulated more than 800 substances. Too much sunlight is carcinogenic. Not enough sunlight is carcinogenic. These barbells are the least of your concerns.Good luck, be smart, and stay safe.

SWOLE
Cap Barbell 45 lb Olympic plate reviewYou may have noticed that 45 lb Olympic plates are hard to find anywhere these days, particularly for a decent price. These plates cost a bit more than I wanted to pay, but since everyone knows that just owning 45 lb plates makes you more swole, I knew that if I ordered 2 more plates I would be twice as swole as I already am (see profile pic). I went ahead and ordered them. They arrived today. I helped the UPS driver carry them up onto my porch and then I opened the boxes. Wow. Not only are they big and grey, they also came with these cool paper stick-on labels that say “Made in China”. I took the labels off to save in case my friends don’t believe where my nifty new plates came from. There were a few sharp/ rough spots on each plate which I removed with a small file. I don’t have the papers on the file anymore but I believe it too was made in China. Talk about serendipity. It’s almost like the file and the plates were made for each other and destined to come together again in a far off carport.Anyway I got the rough spots knocked down and tried out the plates. They fit the bar and are actually closer to official Olympic size than the Fitness Gear plates I bought at Dick’s last year before civilization ended and the virus whose origin we’re not sposta talk about shut down the gyms and a lotta brains. As I put all the full size plates on the bar in my carport, I could feel the swoleness increasing. I grunted loudly and my neighbor looked even more irritated (or was it jealous?) than usual.I cannot recommend this product highly enough for people who want to Get Swole Now. Just don’t forget the file.....

To be fair I got lucky
they are weights, they seem evenly weighed, feel like 45lb plates, i havent stood on a scale with them but ive handled many plates at the gym and these feel the same. When i came across these they were normal priced, I think I caught someone slipping, cus all the other pairs were more expensive even the smaller weights...I thought it was going to be some kind of scam but I HAD to find out, when I got them everything was real lol. I re-checked the pricing days later and it was adjusted to be way overpriced as all plates everywhere are these days, so, I got lucky on that one.

Garbage quality
Ive seen cap plates in walmart before and they didnt look that bad. But these on the other hand are the roughest plates ive ever seen. They scartch the sleeves to my barbell when putting them on. So if you have a nice barbell dont get these. If i would of known theyre so bad i would of spent an extra 50 and gotten something different

Good plates if you DON'T drop the bar
Good plates if you want to do some bench/squat/deadlift. DON'T buy it if you plan to use them with bumper plates. The centre have some kind of metal spot, and it going to mark your barbel like it did with mine :'(
