Large Gumball Bank with Stand

Purchase this for my grandson's birthday. He loved it

This was a gift for my nephew for his 3rd birthday. I thought it would be a super thoughtful gift since the little guy is obsessed with gum and what little kid wouldn’t want their very own gum ball machine! The look on my sister’s (his mother’s) face when he opened it was priceless too. The whole ordeal was fun for about 30 minutes until he was running around pick pocketing and panhandling everyone at the party for loose change and then running back to the machine for another gumball which he would chew for about 10 seconds and promptly swallow so he could have another. He just wouldn’t stop swallowing the gum balls and the threat that he would blow bubbles out of his butt only made him want more. The very next day the gumball machine went missing and hasn’t been seen since. By him anyway. I know exactly where it is. The machine is very well made and quite heavy with a solid metal base. The mechanism works very well and it is a great and very vintage looking. The glass is fairly thick, but would most likely easily shatter if dropped. For the price I really think it is well made! I do not, however, recommend buying one for a gum obsessed 3 year old.

I feel obligated to write a review because reading others' comments prior to my purchase is what persuaded me to buy. It is TRUE ... This candy machine is both beautiful and solid. Points I'd like to highlight: The shipping was lightening fast. I was expecting a week, at minimum, until it arrived, yet it was delivered within three days. The machine (which comes assembled) and the stand (which requires assembly, but is a cinch) were all packaged with protective sleeves. I was impressed. It was a breeze to assemble the stand and then mount the machine onto the stand, and I actually have no skills in this department whatsoever; just me and a dinky little screwdriver were able to construct it without any issue/trouble. NOTHING about this machine looks cheap. It's beautifully constructed. An adult will need to bend over to dispense candy into their hand. In general terms, the height of this machine (assembled and on the stand) is maybe an inch or two higher than a standard countertop height. For kids, it is the perfect height. It's not dinky at all, but just thought I'd point out it's not 5 or 6 feet tall, if that's what you're expecting. I easily disassembled the machine in order to make it a "free spin" (where you still must turn the dial to dispense candy, but it does not require a coin to do so). Another reviewer commented that it was a hassle to retrieve coins, given that you need to disassemble the machine each time you wish to do so. And I agree, it would be. It's not complicated to take apart and put back together, but just not something I would be inclined to do on a regular basis. I cleaned the parts of the machine where candy would touch and then filled it with about a cup of jellybeans to test it out. It worked flawlessly! I had a ball turning the wheel and seeing the candy come down the shoot, so I can only imagine how wondrous this machine must be for children. At the time I disassemble the machine to turn off the coin requirement, I also adjusted the portion unit. You can choose a range of options (a wide to narrow opening) to control how much candy is dispensed. This, too, was extremely easy. I am THRILLED with my purchase, have zero negatives to report, and I highly recommend it.

I have a larger electronic candy dispenser and I wanted something comparable but slightly smaller. This is NOT that! This is small and for children. It will not be durable. It works and will brighten a child's day. But if you want something more than a novelty don't buy this. It's about 10.5" tall and 3-4" wide. It's light weight plastic and has a small bank like compartment on the bottom. I gave it to a 7yo

I am writing this review finally after having this gumball machine for well over a year. It is the first thing the grandkids run for when they come.... I have it filled with chocolate rocks.... have never had it jam up or not work. It takes pennies, nickels, dimes or quarters so I just make sure I have a container of coins for them to come ask. Honestly, haven't removed the coins yet so I might have a small fortune sitting in it LOL. I lost the instructions so hopefully some day I'll figure out how to get my money back out of it. Don't hesitate to buy this.... it is sturdy.... it looks great.... and it's fun!

Very cute! This was a big hit at my grandson's birthday party, with a lot of kids there, around 5-8 years old. I took it apart and cleaned the glass globe before putting the gumballs in it, filled it up, and then repackaged and wrapped it. You should buy the package with 3 pounds of gumballs if you want to fill it up like the picture shows. I brought along a bag of coins and had my grandson, the birthday boy, pass out the coins so everyone got a coin (it will take all size of coins). All the little kids had a blast putting in their coin and turning the knob to get their gum. The gum is good but loses its flavor after about 2 minutes. It's more about turning the knob and watching the gum come out that is the big attraction. The bottom of the machine is a bank, so my grandson keeps the coins. For the kids it was a lot of fun.

Very classic look well made my girls love it. Worth every penny

I bought the .5mm for my face and went on to purchase the 1mm for other parts of my body & face when it is ready. I really like it so far. It kind of hurts but found that the more I did it in the same session the easier it became. I usually start rolling lightly and get a bit firmer as I go. I don't like the swivel as I find it can be easier to scratch so I try to hold it with my hand so its easier to control. I ended up buying som topicaine at the derm's office to help with the uncomfortable feeling. I've used this for IPLs and other lasers and find it makes my face less sensitive during the procedure. When finished it looks like a red hot sunburn and add topical serums and bought one of the masks from the website that I also like. Usually the next day its better on my face but my body usually takes 2-3 days for the red to completely go away. Perhaps using the more aggressive needle causes the healing to take longer. Also in a few days I start to peel, I expect that is also part of the process. Since the healing/peeling process takes time and I have a job, I find that I'm really only doing my face 1x per week, but would like to do it 2-3 times. Hard to tell if its making major changes yet as its only been a few weeks and I've only done it 3 times but I will continue. I have a small red spider vein on my nose and several times have spent $500 to try and have it lasered at the derms office over the years and its gotten better but just comes back. I find that after just a few minutes of rolling it goes away for 2-3 days. I don't know if its the swelling around it or why that happens, but I do love to have the immediate impact of it going away - really no difference than the derms office. I'm also doing my neck, chest, arms, stomach,knees and lower legs. I think the thighs, hips and butt would need a larger roller and are a job in itself. LOL My shins seem to have a build up of dry skin and it looks tight so the rolling is really breaking this all up. (I saw a YouTube video of someone with the same issue and this gave me the idea.) BTW - I will need to purchase a new .5mm roller because I accidently put it in nail polish remover instead of alcohol and it tarnished the roller so I'm not comfortable using it.

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday, she and her brothers are having so much fun with it. It takes lots of different coins, it can be set to free dispensing (but where is the fun in that), the materials are high quality, the piece is reassuringly heavy and solid. Great purchase.
