I am vegetarian that this is an easy way for me to up my iron content without supplements. The fish are easy to use, in making my oatmeal or soups throughout the day. I even use it for the water to make my herbal tea, I highly recommend this item for those who want to supplement their diets with iron. This has none of the "tummy upset" that can come with iron pill supplements and is better for the environment and your health than eating dead animals.

definitely a house hold need! it’s easy use you just throw it into soup your making or water your boiling and it adds iron right in but without such a distinct taste i used it to help my anemia.

I definitely got my DV iron in after putting it in my tea but it stained my teeth black and my family and friends made fun of me until i spent an hour scrubbing it off. I guess that’s just how it is if you chose to consume iron this way but I’m switching to maybe pill supplements.

TESTS POSITIVE FOR LEAD!!! 5 stars only for visibility. I deal with fairly severe anemia that is resistant to most supplementary iron. I got this iron fish to try to solve my anemia. Upon seeing so many reviews on others testing positive for lead, I ordered lead test swabs. Swabs arrived, swabbed this iron fish, and got a very quick reaction indication that lead is present in this iron fish. Just get the "lucky" one that is from the Canadian company. They use electrolytic iron which is very pure refined iron. That one does NOT test positive for lead unlike this one. Sometimes, more regulation needs to happen. This is sold as an iron supplement, and yet contains lead.
