Resurrection: Faith or Fact?: A Scholars' Debate Between a Skeptic and a Christian

In this extremely well-written and well-argued volume, Carl Stecher, an atheist, and Craig Blomberg, a Christian, debate whether the resurrection of Jesus is based in historical fact or if it is actually a matter of faith. Comments are provided by Richard Carrier, athiest, and Peter Williams, Christian. All of the debaters use copious references to support their points, and all write in clear, understandable prose.To me, it is gratifying to see four individuals,two on each side of a very controversial issue, be able to hold a rational and cordial discussion without resorting to invectives and insults. Ultimately, it is up to the reader to decide who won the debate, if anyone. I have my own views, as will anyone who reads the book. This study is one very suitable to Bible Study classes, Christian or athiest book reading groups, college or seminary courses on the New Testament, or any one interested in the resurrection of Christ, and all write clear prose.
