1170 PLEXIGLASS Scoring Tool

Works great

Take your time on the first few passes... Use a piece of wood as a guide. Took maybe a dozen passes or so. Passes get easy after the first few. Snapped perfectly for me. Used it my window A/C.

The item works as advertised other than having to make more passes with the knife than the instructions indicate is necessary. It works well ,enough since I don’t cut plexiglass that often, but if I I had to do it more often I might try to find a heavier duty replacement.

Ordered myself a Matte Box For my Mirrorless Camera, and needed filters. Only found super expensive or very low priced sets made of PMMA. The PMMA filters were also larger than what my matte box would support. Idea! Find a tool to cut them down. Well it worked. See photos from when I fitted the filters after cutting. Also took a small Dremel and ground down the edges. This worked out perfectly for my small project, well worth the cost of the tool. Overall the tool fits good in the hand. Even has a small hole in the top of the handle for you to hang on a hook. Hope this was helpful.

The item is sturdy enough and you can exert decent force in the item without anything breaking. However, the "cutting" was less than ideal. A sharper edge would help

First of all this is a very sharp tool and it does not come with any sort of cover to protect anyone when it is not in use. Secondly I attempted to use this for its intended purpose and it failed miserably. Barely even scored the surface. You would have to sit there and do this a million times in order for it to actually make a cut in something and then you would have to do it. On the other side as well and try to match them up exactly. Basically basically it's not as easy as it would appear to be and for me. It was a complete waste of money because the company would also not accept a return on the item because they insist that you internet in the original packaging. Which? If you. Saw how this was packaged? You would know that it's virtually impossible to send it back that way because it has that type of plastic that you really have to hack into in order to Get the tool out. So over all this tool for me was a waste of time and money. I never did cut the plexiglass. I wanted to. In the future if I am able I will take it Someplace that has a circular saw with the appropriate type of blade to do so.

I have a feeling that the people giving this low marks don't know how to use it properly or didn't read the instructions on the package. When used as directed, it's great. It worked perfectly for me to cut a few smaller pieces out of a sheet of Plexiglass. It seems well made and has a good weight in the hand (that's what she said!). Just remember, this is not a CUTTING tool. It will not and is not supposed to cut through the plastic. Its purpose is to create a very sharp and accurate scribe mark on the plastic so that when you bend along the scribe it will cleanly snap off. And you will need to make several passes to get it deep enough. So just do what it says in the instructions and you shouldn't have any issues at all.

It cuts plexiglass glass

These have come in very handy, for when I have needed to cut acrylic glass and acrylic mirrors (both standard silver, as well as 2-way ones). It does take several passes in order to score the acrylic for snapping, and a modicum of pressure whilst scoring, but I find that they work well enough for my needs. I use them in my hobby crafts, for which they seemto be quite adequate, however, I am not so sure if they would be ideal, or appropriate, if used in a more 'industrial' capacity, where something more accurate, heavy duty and robust may well be a better option?

In Blister.

La descripción dice paquete de 2 y es solo uno.

It’s not suitable for plexiglass at all, and the blade isn’t very sharp either. It can barely make a scratch, even with effort.
