East Side Story 40th Anniversary : 12 piece picture

As a 36 year old SoCal native, I’d have to say this collection is a staple to our end of the state, regardless if you’re part of the low rider community, ride a surf or skateboard, or just a music lover / record collector. These tracks are the perfect compliment to any Southern California night, regardless of the season, and this collection gathers the best of the best. I grew up with this set, first being introduced to it in the early 2000’s as a young teenager, and have had the CD collection multiple times, losing disc here or there during moves or taking my favorites to parties ;) When I started collecting vinyl in my early twenties, I was purchasing my favorites over again , and finding this set quite challenging to get a hold of, as it seemed nearly impossible ( and expensive ) to collect all 12 volumes separately on LP’s.. so needles to say when I was browsing amazon and seen this set was available, it was a no brainer to purchase at a mere $250.. the set was packaged very nicely, clean white box with each volume shrink wrapped inside, and a nice picture disc version of vol 12 tucked away in the middle of the set in its own plastic sleeve ..track listings on outside of box set so you don’t have to pull each volume out to see what songs you’re looking for ..and records play nice with no hissing or skips ..solid black vinyl records that are hand numbered near each label, showing these were made the old school way ..amazing presentation, and classic music makes this box set a timeless classic that is worth its weight in gold in my opinion.. will be something that hopefully my kids kids will enjoy and hand down for generations to come .. to remember all the good times and the rough times we’ve overcome in our lives..the soundtrack to their Southern California nights ..

Love, live this collection...had it many years ago but some were list during move and done were scratch due to many usage ...happy to have back ...brings back so many memories in my junior high school n high school in the late 70's where all the parties we used to go played this songs..my late husband used to serenade me with some of this songs...great memories...

This is an iconic collection from the 1970's of "Soul" Oldies re released on vinyl. A great addition to a deep music collection.
