Returning...well, on reconsideration 🤔, maybe not
My first use ---Am returning it. What an awful experience. Got it over a month ago, waited to try it on a night I could give it a lot of attention. No directions, such as suggested amount of water, suggested amount of detergent, nothing. Had to look it up online.Watched the YouTube demonstrations for tips. Don't use too much detergent or water, they say. Can fill basket they say. I put in two bras, one underpants, one pair of shorts. First, I put in water and soap and spun it so that soap would be dispersed. What happened was, it only spun in bottom half of tub, top clothes were dry. So, I put in more water...spun...nope...more water...nope...on and on to get clothes at top wet. By that time, tub was so full, spinning was nearly impossible. So, I took water out. Put clothes in, put detergent on top of clothes this time. Put water in, spun. Opened it, soap sitting on top of clothes as if they hadn't been touched. Salad spinners toss the salad around. This DOES NOT move the clothes. Everything is exactly where it was initially. So, I let the water out...AGAIN. I left clothes in and poured water over. Spun. Rinsed. Took clothes out, they are whites. Blue detergent all over them. Only thing I could do was what it is capable of doing. I have two bras soaking in it right now. It's good for maybe two bras at a time. I will hand wash the shorts, they're a mess with the blue detergent. I bought a little work station to set it up. I'm using buckets to fill it. Not a good night. I knew I'd leave the pod open at some point, accidentally for all the water to come onto the floor. Sure enough, I did. I imagine the spinner is a good thing. But, for me, going through what I am still going through to get it clean makes the spinning not so important. Washing by hand seems far easier right now. I had really looked forward to it. A real disappointment. My second use --I am a person who doesn't catch on the first time. Given a few practice runs, I'm golden. This is how my second run went.1-don't listen to the experience of others. I had all kinds of pictures in my head that were wrong. Yes, it is WONDERFUL that you have a spin on it. I love the spin. BUT, it's not a panacea, I am not strong in the arms department, so some of my stuff needs a squeeze after being spun (which is still tons better than hand washing.)2-It takes one black Dollar Tree bucket to fill. If you use pitchers, you'll be pouring all day.3-In order that the detergent get dispersed evenly, I put it in the bucket when I'm filling it with water and I swish it around.4-Buy two black Dollar Tree buckets. I fill one with soap water and one with rinse. That way, you're not at the faucet all the time.5-another reason for two buckets ~~~~> get in the habit of ALWAYS having your hose in one of them. Opening and closing the Pod is not something I remember to do and, initially, had after all over the place.6-all this talk about using less detergent...I'm kind of a nut about wanting my stuff clean. I use a lot of detergent, I guess you'd say ( whether it's natural or commercial.) Use as much detergent as you use hand washing.7-No, you can't run a bunch of heavy things. This is only my second night, but I find that I can wash one "heavy" thing, like a pair of denim shorts, with a bra, and two pair of underwear. A t-shirt would be a heavy thing. It's GREAT with light things, but one heavy thing is all in presently putting in.8-I'm excited, it's going to be great for underarm fat. I have to remember to not use just one hand when spinning.9-For me, one revolution is one second, so I do 60 revolutions.I'm going from planning on getting rid of it to a 5. If I listened to the glorious things others say, I'd say it was a 3. For me, for my experience with hand washing, it gets a 🖐! I feel like it's already paid for itself just by allowing me to have clean clothes and not have to go to the laundry!!Well well worth the money. Don't listen to what people say...me in included! Just get it. If you despise going to the laundrymat or hate handwashing, this pays for itself quickly.

Great convenience for a single mom
I read the reviews carefully before buying this since I didn't want to waste money on a tight budget and there's a large variation in the reviews. I didn't need to worry - this is a great item and does just what it says it will. I do think people's expectations are a problem with this: look, you're hand washing. You have to expect that you're providing the power. That said, you're getting a *much* more efficient wash and rinse with much less effort than you would in the sink or a bucket, and you're getting a spin dry to avoid some and often all hand-wringing. That's huge! It's a good design, well made, and definitely improves the efficiency of hand washing. The only question is whether such a product fits your lifestyle. As a single mom, I *dread* the weekly trips to the laundry room in my apartment complex with (at least) two huge bags of laundry and a three year old in tow. Three trips back and forth, two of them carrying heavy loads, and not able to do anything else for at least 2.5 hours because I'm waiting for that timer to ring and don't want to hog the community washers and dryers. It is *so* much better to put this in my bathtub (at the end away from the drain, the natural slope of the tub allows the hose to drain just fine) and work on getting the wash done as just another part of the household chores, nothing heavy to carry, not dragging my three year old out, no weather to contend with, etc. I bought a little rack to hang things dry, and a steamer to make it as easy as possible to get out any remaining wrinkles, and I'm good to go.Not only is the work of getting the laundry done more pleasant this way, there's the added bonus of being able to do any needed items mid-week, a big deal for gym stuff or when my son wears holes in the knees of all but one pair of jeans in a single week! That's just not possible with the laundry room, or practical for only a few items.I'll need to go to the laundry room for the big stuff from time to time - but I may actually be able to do those items more often now, and I certainly won't have to go every week. This is a huge win.As far as capacity, I've been sorting things into regular plastic grocery bags, that's about the right size for a single load. If you overload, of course it won't work as well. That's physics, not faulty design. I'm plus sized, and right now I've got my gym pants and shirt in there along with one of my work shirts - and that's a pretty small load. I could easily have added another shirt, or a few things of my son's, but I opted to leave the extra space to get a better cleaning for the gym stuff. It will do two pairs of my works pants no problem. I could probably do two full days of my son's clothes at a time and he's in a 5T. It's not huge, but it's not ridiculously tiny. It fits more than it looks like it will.Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase. It makes my life easier and does a good job on the clothes. A+!

Great value for portable washing
Lubricate the L joint on top for the rotation handle. I was getting metallic powder filings from initial use.Use in an area where if there's a spillage, it won't ruin your floors/table. Less spillage means you're getting better at it.It is mostly plastic. Go easy on it. The plastic hatch where the drainage hose is housed already comes open easily due to extended use and a worn clasp. It is a geared rotation washing machine based on muscle power. Bracing it during the washing or spin cycle is mandatory. Again, less spillage means you're getting better at it.It's a human-powered washing machine, and you're mimicking the motions of an automated washer. It does get the job done, in moderation. Don't overload. If necessary, get a brush to accent the agitation, and or Oxi/Resolve to help clean during the washing cycle. A liquid fabric softener during the rinse cycle goes a long way.Living in an apt with no washing machine services, this is better than a long trip to the laundromat.

it works
Requires fair amount of force to useBest if not filled more that one third to half fullEven when minimum soap is used, requires manyrinse cyclesIt works but certainly NOT worth the price !

Not very effective. Okay for quick refreshes or tiny/delicate items
I was hoping it would do a better job at washing so I could avoid wear-and-tear to my elderly washing machine for small loads, but the interior basket just turns so there is no agitation of the clothing items at all. It's basically an extra large salad spinner. Hand washing in a basin provides a better cleaning. This device does spin most of the water out, so it's kind of useful for rinsing and might find its niche for washing face masks, accessories, bras, or other small, delicate items that shouldn't be squeezed or scrubbed.

Handy but doesn't spin dry well
I bought this because I don't have a washer and dryer in my apartment and washing the clothes at the laundromat during the pandemic isn't something I thought I wanted to do. The laundry pod functions pretty well and does what it's supposed to do, but spinning the water out of the clothes isn't it's strong point. I still had to wring the water out by hand. The handle also cracked slightly, but it doesn't affect its use. I ended up opting to just wash clothes in my tub because it allowed me to wash more at once and seeing as I had to wring the clothes out by hand anyways it didn't really seem to save me much more time. Would probably work best for a single person instead of a family for sure :)

Neat Little Unit
This little washer-spin dryer is a neat little unit. The hose stores under the tub. It's all very compact. It's a good buy for anyone who takes care of their clothes and doesn't mind doing maybe one item at a time for bigger items. I have been looking at these types of units, especially for spin drying for a while, so I've also combed through the customer reviews to get a sense of what other people thought of it. What I got out of all the reviews I read was that it's a good little machine that should last quite a while depending on the care you take of the unit. The only other thing I would say is that I wish it were twice the size that it actually is.
