Takes the guessing away for tongue weight
Sturdy and well made. Easy to use. Set it up under trailer tongue and moved load around. Could see how distributing load inside 12 ft cargo trailer affected tongue weight.

simple to use and worked as advertised
will need to set up a base platform to raise the scale to height of the tongue before setting the tongue down onto the scalebe careful to follow instructions regarding lifting the scale from the bottom onlywas shipped in fully formed spray foam packaging, which made it almost impossible to be damaged in shipping

A bathroom scale and 2x4 is a better approach
I bought this scale for weighing my RV. While I found it easy to use, it's accuracy is highly questionable. I understand the concept of how the scale is supposed to operate, but I'm just not convinced it's any more accurate than a cheap bathroom scale.I performed several tests, on-boarding water, offloading propane tanks, etc. The scale would always indicate similar readings. I could actually just press on my hitch and the scale would jump 60-80lbs.Very questionable for the price. I will return.

Simple, Robust, Well Made
Does exactly what it says and built to last. If you happen to order the wrong model and need one for more or less tongue weight, all models are the same base. Only the gauge changes. 1PSI = 1 pound tongue weight. Just replace the gauge with one that has the range you need.

Get the tongue weight right and the rest falls into place.
Simple effective solution to ensure that your tongue weight is correct. I tow behind an RV, and despite their size, RVs have surprisingly limited towing capacity. Getting it right is important.

Convenient way to get your tongue weight before you tow!
When I was ready to tow my travel trailer, I looked all over for a scale to make sure I wasn't overweight - in total, or for each axle. Pulling with a SUV with a 500 lb. tongue weight limit (and trying to stay closer to 80% of max tongue weigh) I had to drive 40 miles to a CAT scale! But then I didn't get a tongue weight and it seemed like I would have to spend some time at the scale getting on and off with the trailer hooked vs. just my tow vehicle then my tow vehicle with and without the very heavy weight distribution hitch and sway bars. When I saw this at the reasonable price (saving me time and money driving the 80 mile round trip) it was a no brainer. SO EASY TO USE!! Just raise the tongue (making sure the chock blocks are in place and your stabilizers are up), then put the scale on a solid surface under the hitch, put your level on the frame, and lower the tongue until the jack is no longer touching the ground and all the weight is on the scale. Then you will know if you can load more in the trailer and be ok, or if you have to redistribute the cargo in the trailer to put more or less weight on the tongue. Having already weighed my tow vehicle and trailer and axles at a CAT scale, I knew where my tongue weight needed to be (10-15%, ideally for my setup, 12% of loaded trailer weight). Worth every penny for knowing my tongue weight is good, and took about 15 minutes my first time. When I am ready to go on a trip and have loaded my trailer, it will take me about 5 minutes to check my tongue weight before I go to help make sure my rig doesn't become unstable by swaying all over the road or dolphining.
