Cheap and effective!
This item is obviously not sturdy. However, it has incredible value. I have used it extensively to start fires (legally), and it still works. It works really well for getting a fire going. I would advise adding a little tape to secure the metal tip to the blower, but otherwise it holds together well. If this does ever break, I will buy it again. Good for camping, woodburners, and bbq grills. I use it for all of those.

Comically junk, but effective
I bought these on a whim, kinda -- we've been using a Ryobi high-power inflator to stoke our fire pit, but it's extremely fast and can blow ash all over everything. I ran across this while looking for something more appropriate, and added it to my cart based solely on the 4-star rating.Well, what I received is labeled as a "Hand Barbecue Hair Dryer" rated at 40 watts -- ha ha ha! Everyone I've showed it to got a good laugh. The components seem cheap, and nothing about this shows any level of quality. However, turn the crank and it makes plenty of wind -- exactly what it's supposed to do. The metal nozzle doesn't attach securely and slips right off with minimal effort, so I'll have to come up with something to make it stay on more permanently.I feel like it's way over-priced for the quality (I paid $20, should probably be less than $10), but it does work, so I'm happy enough with it.

Better than the bellows
These work really well at stoking a flame than the traditional bellows. They’re much sturdier and hold up to regular use.

First turn and can tell this won’t last
Can tell right away from turning it that there is something wrong, does not spin freely and gets stuck, just poor quality for a simple concept

Works great but...
This thing blows, figuratively and literally. Plenty of airflow to get fires cooking, I'm pleased with that side of things. However, two really dumb, easily correctable issues knock this down a few stars. First, the handle and fan spindle are perfectly round and the set screw doesn't hold for very long and eventually starts to lose grip. I fixed that by drilling a pocket into the spindle for the set screw to snuggly seat into. Second, there should be no reason the metal nozzle is not permanently attached to the body of the fan. It's actually very loose and falls off easily. Simple fix is to drill a small pilot hole and run a sheet metal screw through both parts. Easily and inexpensively solved at the factory, but they really cheaped out.

Cheap but effective
This product feels fragile, and I don't expect it to last more than a year, but it is amazingly effective at getting my fire pit started, and a great deal for the price.

decent thingamajig, but noisy and wobbly axle
This product works as intended, I’m satisfied with the amount of air she burps out. The gear ratios are such that you get alot of fan spin per crank. The metal tip does fall off, but that’s an easy fix if you know how to use glue. Heavier than I expected, but prolly a good thing, cause you know they got quality Chinesium metal gears up in there. Main issue is that the axle that the fan attaches to gets to doing a heckin’ big wobble after you wind up to only just a little speed. So you have to crank harder, and your teeth start rattling. I took it apart and kinda fixed it, then it started happening again. Oh also, this baby is LOUD. Almost jet engine level volume. But a nice change of pace from traditional billows, and good value for the money. Writing this review after my first usage, so havent broken it yet. Just turn the TV up a little when you’re using it, cause the kids will start yelling.
