NEVER LET ANYONE OUT TRAIN YOU Straight from the riggers room comes our inaugural entry into the fitness footwear foray, the Core training/gym shoe. Built with the same techniques as top-line plate carriers, the upper blends lightweight mesh with reinforced synthetic overlays, all providing the ultimate grace under pressure. A wide forefoot allows foot splay under the crushing weight of your hero lift, while our Pararigger sidewall wraps provide lateral support when the prescribed event goes sideways. The undercarriage is built on the Viktos mobility bottom, engineered for maximum stability and traction, with just enough cushioning to blast out some quick cardio. In fact, the only activity the Core shoe won't do is take a knee. -Lightweight breathable mesh chassis-Parariggers sidewall-Synthetic leather overlays for durability-Mobility bottom unit for traction and stability-High volume forefoot for foot splay under load-Fitness training focused 4mm heel to toe drop-Weight 1.4lb/612g-U.S. veteran designed & developed-1-year workmanship & materials warranty Review: True to size. - Great shoe. Much more comfortable than my $200 Adidas which were not true to size. Light, comfortable, great toe room but not too much. Iโve read order bigger or order smaller. Rest assured, they are right on size. I wear a 9 and they are perfect in a 9! Review: 1 year 7 month review - 2,300 miles ! - These were and are the best shoes I have ever worn. I wore them daily for 1 year 7 months and 12 days which equals 591 days. I am 5'9" and 130 pounds wearing a size 8 shoe. I aggressively walk an average of 4 miles a day, every day, all 4 seasons - at a jogging pace. So doing some rough math, these shoes were walked in about 2,364 miles! 99% of the walking was done on pavement or concrete walkways with some training exercises and light parkour thrown in here and there. Since retiring these shoes, I have purchased 4 more pairs just to have them in case Viktos stops making them. I have never had a daily pair of shoes last this long under my walking conditions. Tough shoes. Things I like the best about these shoes are: The toe box is perfect for me, I have somewhat flat feet but skinny. The fact that they can be tied and still slipped on is critical for my footwear. The sole material lasted until retirement. The stability and lateral support is insane - best feature. Never rolled an ankle or even came close to it. They wash up very well - like back to brand new. Remove insole first and air dry over a vent. They are warm enough through cold winter months where I am located - Virginia. The looks are cool. Things I didn't like 100%: The rubber tip at the toe began to separate slightly (maybe 1mm) half way through life, but not a biggie and never got worse. The factory insole wore/flattened out in a matter of maybe 5 months and was replaced with a slightly aggressive arch supporting pair - problem solved until retirement. They do kick up water into the mesh toe area when it's very rainy or wet outside. Air dry on a vent. The pull tab on the rear of the shoe gets snagged in my pant leg so I cut them off flush - prob. solved. The fabric inside at the heel developed a hole which I probably caused by slipping them on daily...used special stick on repair material to mend and problem solved.

This is the training shoe I've been looking for!
Don't be fooled by the reviews about this shoe coming apart. This shoe is meant for "Weight Training", not running and hiking which you can clearly tell in those photos they are being used for ! I train competitively, 6 days a week and have had no issues. This is by far superior in comfort to the Inov's and other top brands. If I didn't have a newborn at home, I'd buy the other two colors right now (Maybe make the 11.5 $60 for me ;)). One thing when purchasing...Buy a half size larger. As long as this shoe is available, Ill be a purchaser!

Veteran to Veteran. Great shoe but quality is lacking.
I love the shoe design and fit of the Spartan. But, I do have one issue. I have only had the shoes about 3 weeks the toe is coming unglued at the tip. My family and I love CrossFit and go 5-6 time a week. I was disappointed to see the tip of the shoe coming apart. I have ordered PTXF Range Trainer Sneaker which seems to have more of a toe protective/ wrap. Updates to follow. UPDATE: For your "Foot Awareness" I have ordered two more pairs of the PTFX Trainers since and the same issue happens. Inside the heal of both pair the fabric has worn away.. And yes I always untie my shoes before I take them off. :) and the Same Under Armor socks are used with all the shoes. Not sure why this happens but I wont buy the PTFX trainer anymore. I got two sets of them that I can not wear because they rub blisters.

1 month in good to go
I've had these shoes for a month now, been wearing everyday and I like them. Very comfortable, light, and fit good. They seem durable, my expectation is they will last at least a year or I will be disappointed. So far so good. I bought these shoes because I am no longer willing to buy from the big ones and indirectly support their garbage politics.

Feels great!
I've talked to people that have owned these for a year and they appear to be durable. Feel great on my feet. Ventilation is awesome and the over all ergonomics of the sole are stellar. Nice and wide at toe. You won't be getting any blisters from these. Lightweight. Overall they rock!

Poor quality
After wearing for 3 days the sole on the right shoe began separating. After 10 days the sole on the left began doing the same. The company was no help in resolving the issue because I was deployed and unable to ship them back.

AWESOME!
I now have 2 pair of Viktos sneakers, Viktos shorts and a sling bag, their product is out standing, there story is great and and shoes are so awesome, Look cool as hell and work better in the gym than any other shoe Iโve tried, going to buy a 3rd pair of shoes soon
