Cool Efficiency
As any homeowner in a hot climate knows, managing attic temperatures is crucial for both comfort and energy efficiency. The Maxx Air Professional Grade Gable Mount Power Attic Ventilator is a game-changer, especially in the challenging conditions of a Florida summer. This unit’s installation and performance have exceeded my expectations, offering a quiet operation and effective ventilation that impacts the entire home. Firstly, the quietness of this attic ventilator is remarkable. Despite its powerful motor and 14-inch blade, the device runs with such a low level of noise that it’s comparable to a standard box fan. This is a significant advantage for those concerned about noise, as it can operate discreetly without disrupting daily life. My installation included eight screws for a secure mount and weatherproofing foam to reduce vibration and enhance noise absorption, further smoothing the fan's operation to a gentle hum. The power of the fan is immediately noticeable, with a strong airflow that effectively pulls cooler external air into the attic. This setup not only helps in reducing the overall temperature in the attic but also minimizes the burden on air conditioning systems, leading to potential savings on energy bills. The impact of the ventilator was dramatic and almost instantaneous. After mounting it to draw air into the attic, the change in indoor temperature was noticeable, making the living spaces below much more comfortable. This improvement in air quality and reduction in heat is particularly valuable during the intense heat of the summer months. In conclusion, the Maxx Air Professional Grade Gable Mount Power Attic Ventilator is an excellent investment for homeowners looking to enhance their attic ventilation efficiently and quietly. Its robust construction, powerful airflow, and quiet operation make it a standout product that I would highly recommend for anyone facing similar climatic challenges. Whether you’re looking to improve your home’s energy efficiency or simply make your attic space more bearable during the summer, this ventilator is up to the task.

Does the job
My application is as a gable vent fan to pull air through the attic to cool it in hot weather. This fan appears to be well made and functions properly. Installation was a breeze (pun) and I mounted it to 1/2 inch plywood with the thermostat and added a speed control (Speed Controller with On-Off Switch, 120 VAC 6.0 Amp Motor Variable Speed Controller for Ventilation Fans - $30 from Amazon). I also mounted the brackets on thick rubber washers to minimize noise and vibration. Regardless, the fan is noisier than I'd expected. It's not LOUD but I was expecting something quieter (very subjective, I know). Because it's in the attic it's fine. Good air flow and decent value for $110.

Great fan
Really nice fan! Moves a lot of air, not overly noisy, and temperature switch is accurate.

Perfect powerful Gable Attic Fan
Easy installation- You need to hit hardware store For galvanized 4) 1/4 x1-3/4 carriage bolts, 4) nuts ,4) washers,1) plywood 24x24 inch precut. Also, from amazon a box of 8 hard rubber sound deadening washers if you are installing on plywood base as shown. Assemble, then using 8) 1-3/4 woodscrews. Mount as one unit to existing studs in front of Gable vent Easy to wire) and a powerful unit.

It Does its Job
It was installed in my gable over the garage and set at 100 degrees and it is now drawing the hot air out of that part of my attic. Before the attic fan, the attic temp use to be 115 - 125 degrees by early afternoon. The high attic temp caused the kitchen and small sitting area below it to be warmer than the other areas of the home and that was without the stove being used. Also, and not surprisingly, the air coming through the ducts to these areas would initially be warmer compared to other areas of the home. The sitting area is my wife's favorite spot. These factors culminated in my wife complaining while on her way to further lower the A/C thermostat setting. Hopefully, I can now keep the thermostat two degrees higher than her setting of 72 to 74 degrees. I don't expect her to hear the fan for the following reason. In its location, I can barely hear it from the adjacent kitchen. I used metal roofing screws with their rubber gasket to secure the fan shroud brackets to the wall.

Does the job fine!
I purchased this attic fan after I had to return a similar fan from Home Depot. The one from Home Depot was extremely noisy, the blade was flimsy, and the thermometer quit working after a week. This fan is quieter and the thermostat works just fine. I can't really say much about installation as I just replaced a fan with the same opening that was in the attic so it was quick. If you have to build a frame, it will take a longer time, of course. This fan immediately cooled our attic the way I expected. I can recommend this fan.

Nice fan
I like this fan so far. It’s pretty quiet, when I’m on the floor of the shed I can barely hear it. The box fans in the shed are louder! Once I close up the ceiling I probably won’t be able to hear it at all. It only took me about 1 1/2hrs to install it (not pulling the wire I did that once I ordered the fan), but cutting the board to fit, Cutting the circle, mounting everything and connecting the electrical. It’s not pretty, but it will work. The red sheet metal is nice and sturdy, no wobble or flex in it. I like that this fan had the grill on the intake side to keep larger things like birds out of the fan blades. I would buy it again, and might buy another for the other end of the shed. I’ll wait and see how this one does .
