Absolute beast of a lense!
Love the feel of the lense, looks great, focus is great, love the range I get with this. It's honestly one of the top 3 most used for me and I don't even do portraits. Love it for street, and close up wildlife like strays. Got it for a great discount as well so what's not to Love.

Beautiful pictures
This lens is amazing. Granted I expected nothing less for the price. But yeah, the pictures it takes is amazing. Subjective comes out crisp while the background is a beautifully organized bokeh. Lens quality is good, it’s well weighted and has awesome focus.

Best 85 1.2
The DS version are beautiful with the best bokeh ever. Its might not be for everyone since you lost a ted of light from the glass coating but don't let it stop you from getting it. I highly recommended it and it work perfectly with the R3 when high ISO are used.

In every way this lens is superior.
I was skeptical about this lens at first because of the 1/3 stop of light loss canon says it has due to the coating. Once you actually use this lens, that won't even matter. And 1/3 stop of light is effectively insignificant. It's worth the extra 300 dollars or the Non DS version. Its Magnificent. ZERO regrets about purchasing this lens.
