SGEYR 4K HDMI Switch - 5 In 1 Out Splitter Switcher with Remote & HDCP1.4 Support for PS4/Xbox/Fire TV/DVD/HDTV

I recently decided to get back into playing my video game consoles. This quickly resulted in my television running out of HDMI sockets. Apparently we don't need more than two these days (bring back SCART!). This resulted in me looking up and buying a couple of different HDMI splitters. One was cheap and did its job fine, the second one (this one), I picked this one up in the Prime Day sales. It's clearly the better product.What this splitter does is essentially act as five HDMI slots for your television. It has a HDMI slot on the side for you to hook it up to your tv and five slots in the back for your bluray players, xbox's etc. All you have to do is use the given remote and swap channels to whatever it is you wish to do. It's very easy to install and just as easy to use.The build quality appears to be pretty good. The item arrived in a firm cardboard box, every component was housed in its own compartment and was tightly sealed. The box itself is metal and feels very sturdy. The remote certainly feels of higher quality than the ones Sony makes for their televisions. Visually, it seems to be well made.I didn't suffer any loss in visual quality for anything I had plugged it. To be specific, I currently have a Bluray player, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and an Xbox One X plugged into it. Each one of them works just as they would had they been plugged straight into the television.I honestly have no complaints with this item. It did exactly what I wanted of it. It is easy to install, easy to use and got it for a nice price. If you're like me and your television has a pathetic amount of HDMI slots, this is a good item to acquire. Well worth it.

I previously used a different HDMI switcher, but had to change it as for some reason, that one gave a really noisy image when connected to a PlayStation 3.No such issues with this box. It's got various consoles running through it (Playstation 3, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One and a Wii via a HDMI adapter).The image from each is absolutely fine. The box switches quickly, and usually automatically. If you need to toggle to a different input, you can either use the single push button on the front to cycle through, or use the supplied remote control. The remote isn't exactly stylish, but it's functional.One other thing about the remote is that it allows you to turn the switch box off when not in use, assuming it's still getting power from somewhere. My Xbox One always keeps the HDMI output on, so the switch box is always getting power. Not that this is a problem, however the LED's on the front are fairly bright, so you may want to turn those off sometimes.To summarise, it's cheap, functional and reliable. Definitely one that I'd recomment.

Thought this would be a good idea to use in our lounge ad we had multiple consoles but it does not work with a ps5,Returned for a refund

This has made life so much easier.I was constantly manually changing my hdmi cables to my different consoles and it was becoming really tedious so I went ahead and looked for a splitter.This one is excellent, it is a good quality solid piece of kit that offers excellent value for money.I really like that when it detects an item being turned on it automatically switches to it, I haven't yet needed to use the remote.Picture quality is excellent and I haven't noticed a different using it and it has a sleek and appealing appearance meaning it fits neatly ampngs my gaming consoles.Would definitely recommend.

I've had this for less than a year and now, after about an hour of operation, I get a purple layer over the picture and the picture or connection "drops out" altogether. This is only a recent development as it didn't do this before.

Bought this as my old (5 in 1 out) plastic-cased switcher had developed an issue where it was citing out every 10-15 mins. Had the previous £10-15 quid version for approx 3 years.I’m now using this with Sky Q and Apple TV. Plans to use with PS5 when a console becomes available for general purchase.So far, so good.Build quality is great. Solid, metal build.Only complaint is the cheap control that has an I’ll fitting battery bay and overly tight sliding cover. A shame as it lets down a really tidy overall product.Essentially, the connections are what I bought this for. That and being able to connect it in a cupboard and just forget about it. Not the type of gizmo to make your knees quake but annoying when itgoes wrong. This has NOT gone wrong and so ticks all the boxes. Shame that the only external, user facing remote is a touch of a let down.

When i received this HDMI switch i removed my old unit which only had 3 HDMI inputs and output to monitor.With this new i and connect my 3 pcs,dvd player and PS5.The only thing had to do was to re-label the numbers on the the remote control to coincide with my pc inputs ie Pc 1 is button 1 on remote, Pc2 is button 2 on remote and Pc3 in now button 3 ( re-labelled because it was button 5 on remote even though it was the 3rd HDMI input on HDMI Switch ) .The remote control unit was very responsive.Good product.Recommend it.
