Racing for Good (Disney/Pixar Cars) (Step into Reading)

Our five year-old son LOVES this book and has requested it to be read to him almost every night over the last few weeks. I almost have it memorized. :-) The story is an easy read before bedtime or any time. It is also simple enough that he can begin reading it to himself, since he's now learning to read. Each page has simple words and short sentences with fun pictures and bright colors. And each story has a nice moral to teach. While other Disney Cars books have stickers, this one does not.The Step into Reading series 2 books are very nice starter books for a child who is learning to read. But it's quick read, so if you're looking for a book to read at bedtime, you might want to add a number of other books like this. I read three or four of these a night before he starts to fall asleep.

Good luck big print big letters easy to read

Honestly, it pains me to give a book a 1 star rating, especially one my kids love reading. However, this is the 3rd book I've bought, and the 3rd to completely fall apart! The binding is insanely flimsy, and falls apart after ONE reading, so ALL of the pages fall out, and the book is destroyed. I am going to likely purchase the library binding, and give it one last shot for the simple reason that my kids love the story and are bummed that the book is "missing" because Mommy keeps having to throw it out to avoid kids getting paper cuts from pages.

Great gift idea for a new reader.
