Heavy duty and high quality
I decided to buy the Amazon Basics version as they were almost 60% cheaper than other ones out there.I purchased these to remove old carpet nail strips and they work exactly as you'd expect them to.Excellent quality and will last you many years if you take care of them.

Great for preparing for new carpets
These were great for when I was having carpets replaced in 2 rooms.One of the tools was partially good for removing old and broken gripper rods (we were getting thicker carpets and underlay, so needed to replace what was there with rods with the longer pins).Another of the tools was great as a staple remover. I managed to get out all of the staples where previous fitters had stapled the underlay to the floorboards.It was good being able to begin from what felt like a clean slate.
