Shepherd Hardware 9592 7-Inch Semi-Pneumatic Rubber Tire, Steel Hub with Ball Bearings, Diamond Tread, 1/2-Inch Bore Centered Axle

Ok product, sort of, except for two things. First, the axle arbor hole is undersized and impossible to fit onto a 1/2" axle without reaming/sanding the shaft or wheel sleeve. Second, these wheels do not have bearings. There is a metal hub on both sides of the tire connected with a cylindrical steel sleeve that takes the place of a bearing. The wheel sleeve just spins on the axle with significant friction without any kind of traditional bearing. Without a bearing, the wheel turns with greater friction and will wear the axle in the same place over time causing undue wear at that point. I had no idea a metal hub wheel would not contain real bearings. Plastic, I can see that. I would rather pay a couple dollars more for a quality wheel than this mediocre product.

The wheels were exactly the same diameter as the ones I was replacing, but MUCH sturdier, both at rim and at hub. Better, thicker rubber, too.I had a little trouble getting them on because the hubs were wider (needed more length on the axle) than the stock wheels. This is NOT the fault of these excellent wheels. I got them installed by, 1. eliminating the washers from the stock setup, 2. boring out the cotter pin hole a little, and 3. using a slimmer retaining pin.I have been using my hand truck for sever weeks with these new wheels and it is much smoother running and can take a heavier load without the tires squishing.

It took me forever to find exactly what I was looking for... a tire with no plastic. The wheel is made of steel and the tire itself feels like a hard rubber. I used this to repair a wagon, and bought a 4" bolt to act as an axle. This wheel is far superior to the original wheel on my wagon. In fact, I bought another one to replace the other rear wheel on my cart.

I had to search around for a metal hub. I had replaced the wheels on my cement mixer with plastic hubs, which was all that I could find. Broke very shortly.These are well built, inexpensive and fit the 1/2 inch axle perfectly with no slop.

Bought a pair of these wheels to bring my old hand truck back to life. Only thing needs to be improved is make the wheel spins more evenly because it will wobble a little. Other than that, it's a good deal.

Used them to switch out the wheels on my craftsman versastack tool box. I needed heavier duty wheels than the plastic ones it came with. I had to switch out the original axel and use a spacer but they worked well, after modifying the axel.

Perfect replacement for my old Kees TM-26 brush mower. The originals were 8"... but, these 7" wheels worked fine. They are solid and look great (shiny red, like the original wheels).

Useed the wheels to repair a hand cart with a broken wheel. These solid bushing wheels are much stronger and will last longer than the original pressed steel junk wheels and increase the load capacity of the cart.Bearings are a REALLY snug fit in the axleand needed emory cloth and grease now cart is smooth and tight--no pplay in wheels at all. Really pleased with result.

The item is as good as it looks in pictures.

3 out of 4 wheels are defective, 1 is probably a return(missing sticker and scuffed up and missing a chunk of rubber)(1) - A bad bearing that makes a cracking sound either missing a bearing or got dirt in it,and missing a chunk of rubber,(2) - Pressed wrong and not fitting hub correctly and has a wobble, 1/2 the rubber is slanted to 1 side,(3) - Pressed wrong and not fitting hub correctly and has a wobble, piece of plastic and paper found inside of the hub,1/2 the rubber is slanted to 1 side.Very bad quality control, I will never buy from this seller again, i'm very disappointed, 1 defective wheel I can live with but 3 out of 4 is total garbage !!

The description says "1-15/16-inch centered hub" the actual size is 1.772" (45mm)

Good solid replacement wheel, would recommend.
