Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3 [video game]

I'm sure, like many of the reviewers here, my first introduction to this game was on a TV screen with the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is as much fun now as it was then. To those experiencing this game for the first time, (and I know this may make me sound old) you had to be there. At the time, this was the best there was. That may not sound like much now, but you will be saying that yourself in 10 to 15 years about your favorite game that is in retro like this one. While this is not as fun as the "original" Super Mario Brothers, this is still a good play.A couple reviewers have stated this is a "hard" game. Um, the game is not supposed to be easy. It is supposed to challenge you. Deal with it. For me, half the fun is working to beat it. I've had the GBA version of the game for all of 48 hours now, am currently on World 2, and have lost many lives, but am having the time of my life. Yes, some of it is the nostalgia factor, but more of it is the fact that I never actually beat the game when I was younger. So the game shall be beat and the game will like it.As far as I remember, this is the same as the NES with maybe slight revisions to the background. LOL I can't check it out because my NES doesn't work anymore. :-( But if you are into straight-forward gaming, or just want a good old-school game, pick this up and enjoy.

I was a little skeptical ordering a used game. I was pleasantly surprised that it was in very good condition just like it said it was. It works perfectly and I will but more games from this seller.

I got my first Gameboy at age 25. I've always wanted one, and now I have one (yay, me!). I wanted a Mario game for it, and this one had a 9.5 rating on IGN, so I bought it. I'm really bad at it, but I have lots of fun playing. It's great fun, and I think that anyone looking for some old school fun should definitely get this game. It has all the nostalgic charm of Mario, and it's a lot cheaper than buying $60 games for a console. Plus, it's portable! The only thing I really will say is that the Gameboy Advance is not back-lit, so I think that some of the graphical fun of this game is wasted due to that. It has updated graphics so it looks different than what you are use to. Everything is very crisp. I bought it to be able to play my favorite mario game as a kid but to be able to play it portably. You wont be disappointed to add this title to your collection. Super Mario World Advance is my next one to be able to play for 2nd favorite mario game as a kid portably. I paid 20 bucks that includes shipping so for me you cant beat the price. Plays on Gameboy Advance and SP, Original DS and Retrom 5 I believe.

Luigi is playable here when you say Mario and Luigi game which is similar to Super Mario Advance 2, but in Super Mario Advance 2, one does not have to say Mario and Luigi game. Luigi is already there. Also, if one beats the game and beats every level, all of the levels come back in clear mode and you can go to any level you want, which is better again.

As an old NES gamer, I figured the game would stick with the original SFX, at the very least. Its a great game if you don't feel like hauling your laptop or your clunkily ancient NES system around, but for me, it was a little unexpected. The game's saving system is really akward, and I have yet to fully understand it. However, it is a good game to have for the Advance in that its a classic and just rocks in general. The NES mario games made video game history, and will always be around.From the shipping standpoint, it came with a case, but no box. I prefer that in the fact that its less weight i have to pay shipping for and it's a smaller package. It arrived in a timely fashion and was in pretty much perfect condition. There is a screen in the front that says something about a data corruption, yet it states that everything is ok. I don't know if that's just part of the game or if thats just me. Anyhow, great buy. Thanks for giving me my memories back!
