Worked Great and Saved Me a Lot of Time / Energy
These worked perfectly for me. I have a very old condensing unit with a ton of folded over fins. I bought this thinking it would not be a miracle fix but that is pretty much exactly what it was. It took about 45 minutes to straighten out one side of the unit. I loved the amount of combs that came in the set so I was able to find the perfect comb for my unit.See attached progress photo when I was about 25% complete straightening out the fins. Huge difference. The only negative thing to say about them is that I got a blister from holding the comb so hard and steady, also the comb that I used did grind itself down a little bit by the time I was done. It is still useable, so no complaints, just wanted to mention it won't last forever.

It works if you take your time
We had a major hail storm awhile back and it destroyed the 5th wheel AC shroud but didn’t noticed until I hitched up the trailer for fire evacuation. I went up to remove the shroud and the AC condenser/radiator looked like monkeys beat on it with ball pean hammers. One comment I read was to use a butter knife to straighten the fins then comb then out. This process worked very well. A lot of the fins weren’t just bent over but bent back on themselves so had to pry out then straighten then comb. Hardest part was the fact the AC unit is right on the roof and I’m old. I would work on an inch or two vertically then comb out. If if found a comfortable position I’d work across about 4” at a time and about 4-6” down. You will find what works best for you. The Green comb with fine end fit perfect. It took a few sessions of about 45 minutes to an hour to get the whole thing finished. Like I said it was smashed up. If you try and do the whole thing with the tool you will probably be disappointed as it’s not a miracle tool. Worked best after the knife treatment then wiggling back and forth either moving up or down. Worked best in my situation be overlapping a few rows. I’d buy again

Sturdy for the price.
Perhaps I just need to improve my technique, but I had some difficulty straightening my fins with these. They are strong enough and there are plenty of fins per inch selections. I might try rounding the edges a little on the two sizes that I use. Note: if the size you need is on the short side of the comb, they remove quickly to make your task easier. Overall I am quite happy with these.

Works great, pretty easy to use
Really happy with these fin combs. I had hail damage on one side of the unit, and random bumps and scrapes on the other sides, and the combs took out nearly all of it. I started the job expecting to just make the fins "better", and was shocked to get results that were nearly "perfect". As recommended by some other reviewers, I used a putty knife to straighten out the really damaged areas first, and then used the fin comb to follow up after and finish straightening out the fins. I got best results when I worked slowly through damaged areas, then finished up with a nice smooth pass from top to bottom or bottom to top. I used the 18 and 17 combs (depending on the section), and they definitely showed some wear by the end of the day, but I think there's still quite a bit of use left in them, and I'm glad I have them on hand to quickly touch up the fins after the next hail storm.

Functionality depends on the nature of the job.
It's not entirely the tool's fault that sometimes the radiator you are trying to get to is in an incredibly difficult place to see and reach...but I had thought and hoped these would work a little better and easier on my 'V' shaped radiator in my air-handler. The tool is not as easy to match to the 'fins' per inch on your radiator. Also, the plastic seems to be a little soft, it gets eaten up rather quickly if the 'fins per inch' of your radiator don't match the fins-per-inch on your selected tool exactly...pretty much voiding it being functional on another radiator later. I was able to make it work, but it proved to be more of a hassle than the advertised function leads one to believe. If the radiator you are working on in in an easily accessible place, this would/will work well...however, if it is in a more difficult place to reach, you might want to consider something with a lower profile, and perhaps something of metal construction. Just my two cents.

Good fin comb
These combs are made of harder plastic, which I thought is Nylon after performing the burn test. In any case the material is tougher which makes these combs more resistant to being cut by the sharp edges of the fins. The material is also more slippery than that of the crappy combs made out of Polypropylene. My quarrel with these, and all other fin combs that I have seen, is that their comb prongs have square edges, which do not help to move the comb when fins are bent beyond a certain degree.Besides, the molding quality is borderline acceptable. The are plastic flashes (unwanted excess of material) in between the prongs.

Easy and quick repair tool
I purchased this to use on the compressor fins on the AC unit on the house we moved into. The previous owners neglected the unit most likely since it was installed. It takes some time finding which one is the proper fin size for your system. Mine was 18 per inch. One suggestion I have is wrap tape around the comb that’s the proper size for your system so when you use it in a year or two or three later you don’t hve to try and figure it out again.I found it works well in both up and down strokes depending on the angle. For me, the center of the unit works best fixing fins with down strokes, the top and bottom sections work best with up strokes. When fixing fins on the inside I used up strokes no matter where the fins were that needed to be fixed. The only other suggestion I have is clean the unit first and then go slow. If it’s all full of dust and gunk it’s going to be hard to start the comb.If mine breaks I will definitely buy a replacement without a second thought.

I LOVE THEM!
After having my window air conditioner installed a few weeks ago for the coming hot weather, I noticed that a few of the "fins" had gotten scrunched. Seeing these tools being used in a demonstration on YouTube, I immediately found them on Amazon, purchased them, received them about 2 days later and was able to use them on my AC. These are fab. I am now going around to all my neighbours in the building and asking them if I can "comb" out their ACs!!Fabulous tool. I LOVE THEM!

These combs really work!
I was able able to restore a condenser back to perfect condition that had more than 50% fins flattened. Carefully selecting the right gauge and going slow and gentle worked great! Efficiency will be greatly improved!
