Beats the old winch hook!
I know it's pricey, but it sure is a nice thimble. It's been on the Jeep a few months and looks the same as when I took it out of the box. After the same amount of time, my old winch hook was starting to rust. A couple of pulls and no problems. Easy to use and looks good too.

Cut off old rusted dangling hook
Cut off the old rusted dangling hook and installed this. Looks and function are great. Quick and simple install. Keeps the sun off the end of the rope too. I would do it again, only sooner.

Did not fit USA Zeon Synthetic Rope w/o (Minor) modification
Nice piece, however the end of the USA Warn Zeon 10S would not fit without being pressed into a smaller loop. There are instructions within the box for the modification (aka mallot), however, it states only "Import" ropes wont fit. This is absolutely false. Not a big deal, but don't be surprised!

Big improvement over a hook
Easy to install, and easy to use. I'm a big fan of thimbles. Safe, clean, and simple. I have one of these on each of the three winches I own.
