Sorry no. The Portals are not compatible with other games. The figures are though.

does the starter kit have all i need for them to play the game? do you just put in game & it says what to do?

They will be able to play the game right away. Once you put the cd in the console, just follow the steps to install. It is fairly easy.They will ask for more figures, as the game progresses, at least my kids did.

All of the old characters work. You can access the entire game with a land vehicle, which comes with the starter pack. There are sea and air vehicles which "can significantly alter the look, layout and difficulty of game levels" but are not required. Easy enough for a five year old to play but ...

My son loves this game. He has played it nonstop since Christmas. Easy enough for a five year old to play but challenging so he does need a little bit of help. Vehicles are seperate also characters as wel.

Better than the $500 XBox One I Bought

We bought this for Christmas during Amazon's Lighting Deals. I wasn't sure if my 10-year old son would like this or not and whoa was he ever hooked. Now we have to go back and get more - vehicles? Whatever. From sitting and watching him play I can tell you the graphics are colorful and fun for me to watch (since I know absolutely nothing about gaming but he seems to be having a great time.) It's been a week and he hasn't bored of it yet which is more than the $500 Xbox One I bought!

This starter game came with the same problem.. ...

This starter game came with the same problem.......no card or label to show what characters you have. The Skylander Superchargers that came with this game is not on poster/chart that's included with starter kit. What's the reason????

Box was opened and in horrible shape.

The box I received yesterday had been opened from the bottom and won't close back, there are random pieces of tape all of the box , it's banged to pieces, corners are busted and it is a birthday gift that has to be given today. It looks horrible but unfortunately I don't have time to return it. I just hope everything in it works.

We have them all. I dread a new one coming out :) but my son loves them. Portal of power looks cool, characters are able to drive cars. The game works just fine, no issues at all. The only issue I have is the cost of all new figures. The price of the starter pack on Amazon was great, though. Thank you.

Very fun!!

My 10 year old son kept asking me for this game. He has all of the other skylanders games, and loves them. I bought this for his 10th birthday, and it was a big hit with him and his buddies. They all love the fact that you can customize the characters and cars. I also like the fact that you can use the players from the other games in this game as well. This game is very fun, and I would definitely recommend!
