Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril - Nintendo DS

I had this game on my xbox. I was expecting it to be a little different from console to console which it is. Also it's a little challenging to get past some of the levels and I'm saying that as a twenty year old. So if you have a kid who gets frustrated easily this probably would not be the right game to get them. It's fantastic for any one who loves the avengers or super hero's though. after you've unlocked certain super hero's you can go back and replay the levels you've defeated with different hero's and see what else those levels have to offer. Great game. I have it on the ds btw.

These Lego games are so much fun to play. Surprisingly they are challenging and have quite a bit of stuff to complete. My son has multiple games and this is probably my favorite one. When he ask for help it is hard for me to give it back. I love playing it just as much as he does.We got his uncle to buy it for the PS3 and I guess its just as much fun on that too. But we are all superhero nerds and love this stuff.I totally recommend for any age especially if you love Marvel. Its fun seeing the characters come to life and using their different super powers.

My 5 year old son has no problem navigating this game. However, sometimes the instructions have to be read aloud for him. But after that he is able to play the game with the right amount of difficulty. He spends hours a week trying to defeat and get better at the different levels.

First let me start with my "I'm not a paid reviewer by any manufacturer or Amazon.. anything I review it's because I've paid for it myself & it's my own personally experience. I do A LOT of amazon shopping, & my reason for picking certain things are always due to helpful reviews so even though this is time consuming, I want to do the same for others.Great buy

Well, okay. Maybe it's not a complete ripoff, but I certainly want my money back. I am writing this review so that others will not make the same mistake as I did. This is nothing like an ordinary LEGO video game. First, there is no "Home Area" (Room of Requirement in Harry Potter, Mos Eisley Cantina in Star Wars, and the Shire in Lord of the Rings) where you select levels, access the shop, and customize your character. There is merely a title screen which lets you select levels and a shop button. There is no Character Customizer. Second, it is impossible to jump, and the levels are short, but somewhat difficult to unlock (you have to get a certain number of Gold Bricks to unlock the next area). Third, you can only have three Red Brick abilities active at one time, and if you die, you don't regenerate. You have to restart the level. I don't know what this game is like on other platforms, but the DS Version is a shame on the name of LEGO.

This game is primarily played by my 6 year old son. He is a Marvel Avengers fan and what kid doesn't like Legos?!He says it's his favorite game, he plays it more than the others, including his Mario Bros. His favorite character in the game is the Fantastic Stretch. He saves the world with The Muscle, The Human Torch and "the girl you can't see" (Ms Invisible?). Keeps him busy and he enjoys it.

This is a fun game for my sons DS. He is 7 and enjoys plating this game. I tend to like the Lego video games for him as he is a huge Lego fan. The Lego games also have lots of problem solving built into them so it gives them a challenge. I am happy with this game for my son.
