I have been peeling, coring and slicing apples by hand for dehydrating and canning for years. It is a long, tedious process. This unit does the job efficiently, consistently, easily and neatly in a fraction of the time it took me when I was doing it by hand. Highly recommend if you like consistent sized slices, dehydrating, making pie, applesauce or apple butter! Recommend tightening all components when the unit arrives and remember, the handle is on the inside of the handle for shipping and storing purposes. Simply unscrew it and place it on the proper side of the handle when using the unit.

Works nice, but WARNING!!!, when you go to move the crank handle to the outside of the arm, it is REVERSE THREADED... I almost killed myself trying to unscrew it. Also not the highest quality threads on the handle and use the biggest flat blade screw driver that you have.It does peel, cut, and core nicely, but the coring attachment could be sturdier.

When I received this I was so excited! I had gone to an apple orchard and bought a large amount of apples to bake desserts and bring fresh apples to my patients at work in the nursing home I am employed at. When I first used it I did feel it was a little flimsy but it seemed to work great! I made a pie and I brought the peeler to work with me to show to a patient of mine as she had never heard of such an item before. I set it up on her bedside table, secured with the suction handle so it would stay in place. Put the apple in and about half way through peeling and slicing I went to move her table just a little so she could see the slicing better as she was just amazed at this thing! I very slightly bumped the peeler and I mean very slightly, the peeler suction apparently let loose and the whole thing feel onto her floor (carpeted floor) and the thing just absolutely feel apart! The core piece fell completely away from the rest of it and all the springs just flew off in a matter of seconds! The both of us just sat there looking at it like we just watched a bad car accident but then couldn’t help but laugh so hard thinking 🤔 “I knew it was to good to be true” thoughts ha! Anyways! I did really like how a thing like this works but instead of do the whole send it back and try to get a new was going to take to much time since I have all these very ripe apples I need to use up, so I haven’t bothered. I’ll eat the 25.00 unfortunately but, I did buy another one definitely NOT from this company but a different name brand one on Amazon. I received it today (same price actually) and it does feel a bit sturdier and better put together. Has worked great so far today so hoping it will last a good long while! I will however still handle it with kit gloves because of my experience with this product!

This is the second peeler I have purchased. It make peeling apples so easy and if you are going to be peeling a lot of apples, it is a necessity. If you have children you will enjoy having this for peeling all those apples you want them to eat.

First, I received a used item! I know because it was sticky - I assume it was apple juice. Also the box was falling apart. I washed it and fought to get the handle turned around and used it. It did the job fine. I feel like I paid full price for something I could have picked up at a garage sale. It was inexpensive. It works so far.

I liked that it came just when I needed it most. I have a big bag of Apple's and this tool comes in handy. This tool is easy to use and also very handy. Apples get cored, peeled and sliced. Makes the job go faster.
