From 5 Stars to 1 Star
August 2017: 5 Stars. Then the price was $13.99 for 5 pairs, they were ok considering the price, lightweight and didn't break as easily as you would think as they are not exactly sturdy. I often fall asleep with them on and even then they help up. Of course after a while the lenses become scratched with use but that's to be expected.March 2019: 1 Star. The new price is $14.99. Moving forward and after the 5 previous ones gave out I clicked on "Buy It Again" without a thought but what I got was NOT the same item as last time. Sure, they are glasses, they are lightweight, they are sold by the same seller and the box still comes all the way from China. Except... The new "design" must be the work of some kind of genius (sarcasm intended). The old glasses had the traditional nose bridge supports, a piece of plastic attached to each lens to comfortably rest on your nose. In the new glasses instead of having the traditional nose bridge support there is a thin... I don't even know what to call it... but it looks and feels more like a blade that cuts and digs into your nose leaving some serious ridges or indentations that make wearing them all day almost impossible unless the skin of your nose is made out of a material similar to the skin of an elephant.Once again we get proof that "new and improved" is no such thing, I ended up paying more money for a lesser product, now I have to buy something else form another seller.

what I ordered, but not what I got
The glasses on this page are what I ordered, with rubber or plastic tips that slide over metal prongs, for the nose rest. I have another pair like that, which is the most comfortable pair of reading glasses I own. But that's not what I got; I got https://www.amazon.com/Eyekepper-Stainless-Half-eye-Reading-Gunmetal/dp/B01MAWDT7B, with the more traditional nose rest consisting of a plastic pad that attaches to a U-shaped piece of metal. (And yes, I verified that these are what I ordered.)I wish I had gotten the ones I ordered; the nose pads on the one I got are spaced too far apart, making the glasses sit further down on my nose. That makes the glasses sit low, making it easy to look at someone over the tops of the glasses, but meaning I have to crane my neck when looking at my computer screen. I'm actually getting a neck ache from that, and the neck ache goes away if I put my comfortable glasses on.Bottom line: Speaking of the glasses that I actually got, if you have a wide nose, they'll probably fit well. And if you have a narrow nose, and you're using this to read a book on your lap, they're also good. But if your nose is narrow (like mine) and you want to look at a tall computer monitor, the kind I got may not be what you're looking for.And I don't know how the ones I actually ordered would be.Update, a couple weeks later: I added a star, because I discovered that it's sturdy enough that you can bend the nose grips. In particular, I pushed them closer together, so it sits higher on my nose, and now I don't have to crane my neck to see my computer screen.

NOT THE TOP OF THE LINE,,, BUT THEY WORK JUST FINE!!!
I usually sit on and destroy a pair of reading glasses per week. Occasionally I'll vary my method of accidental destruction by stepping on a pair. So buying expensive or high quality reading glasses is not a wise economic choice. That's why I was glad to find this 5-pack on Amazon for less than a third of the usual price. Also, it's not easy to find glasses with 3.00 strength, which I need for my work as a cartoonist. And searching for them isn't funny. Plus, the lens clarity of this bargain brand is even better than in some of the more costly brands. Therefore this item deserves a star each for price, convenience, lens quality, and selection; but no star for comfort or construction of frames. These glasses do their basic job of improving vision, and that's what counts.

They fit good, but have distortion.
They fit good, sit far enough down my nose so I can work on notebook and look up at tv without having to adjust specs. But looking at an object a few feet from me that has a straight horizontal line and it is bowed. For the price i keep on set in the truck, one by tv chair, one in bedroom, one in work area and one set aside for when the first set breaks or whatever. I would not recommend these because of the distortion, but for the price I think you would have a hard time finding any that did not have it.

Happy with these readers!
I am pleased with these readers. I was looking for half-height readers so that I can look over the top as I don't need glasses for distance vision. These are very good for that. The metal rim is narrow enough that it doesn't impede viewing over the top of the glasses. While they do not have springs, the wire frame is flexible. They seem to be pretty well made. I was concerned by other reviewers' comments about the nose pads slipping off. But, the glasses I received do not have the "slip on" nose pads described by others and shown in the ad's picture. The nose pads are flexible and held on by a screw (see my photo) and I don't think there will be an issue with them falling off. So, it seems the manufacturer made changes based on the earlier comments (or I got lucky). I'm happy with these and would buy them again.
