We used these to create a latch for the “tailgate” we fashioned from a 2x8 on my son-in-law’s flatbed pickup, for the rails we built. They work great, and bring stainless steel they should last a long time.

Heavy duty and adjustable. Works like a charm, SS, lockable. I made a different catch hook to suit my application. I wish they had included lock nuts so the adjuster didn't flop around when unhitched. I bought some but be aware..METRIC..

I purchased two sets of these to lock down the lids of galvanized trash cans we use to store bird seed on our deck.Every other method I had used to lock down the lids were foiled by the Racoons! These buckles were just the right size, well made, and adjustable enough to compensate for any installation anomalies. The only thing that would make these buckles better is if they included installation bolts and nuts and cotter pins to lock them. Buckles arrived quickly after I ordered them, and included everything advertised. I wish I would have purchased these a long time ago and wouldn't have wasted so much time on other attempts to stop the Racoons.

I bought these to replace a locking mechanism on a murphy bed. So far they are holding up really well.I like that you can adjust the pieces to fit your needs.My only complaint is that they did not come with screws. Maybe that's in the fine print, but I did not see it.
