Goodman GMSS960803BN Single Speed 1-Stage Upflow/Horizontal Gas Furnace with Low Nox, 96% Afue, 80,000 Btu/H, 1,200 Cfm, 175" Width

I could not be happier with this furnace. I installed it myself and got it approved by my town's building inspector today although it's actually been in service for a couple weeks now. The instructions were very well written and there were no surprises. The unit is very quiet and just pleasant to have in the house. It is nearly silent standing next to the furnace in the basement, however there is some air noise from the heat registers as one would expect from a forced air furnace. It was delivered several days EARLIER than promised (GEM Overstock)The only negative things I have to say are regarding Goodman's warranty policy. Since I installed this furnace myself (legally, of course) I get ZERO warranty... Thanks for putting the screws to the homeowner, Goodman! However, since I saved around $3000 by installing this unit myself, I can just buy a spare furnace for parts if anything ever breaks ;-P

We bought this for the garage. It has been a great heater! Does a great job at heating our garage. Not very loud!

You will not go wrong with this one. She quietly does her things in the basement and the entire house gets warm within no time. However, if you decide to hire a cowboy contractor like I did, a couple things can get screwed up. They messed up with my gas pressure when I was having it converted to use LPG as I waited to get the Natural Gas piped to my house. I had the pressure set to the appropriate water column level and since then she has been great!. Just like that woman who will do your laundry and make your bed... I love it. Should you buy from MRO Next Day, be prepared for some surprises...

A great value. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM BEGINNING TO END. Then READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AGAIN. After you have installed a few, it is easy. Or if you are replacing a previous 96% furnace, it is easy. But READ THE INSTRUCTIONS THE FIRST TIME. Cabinet seems heavy duty. I don't know how long to expect them to last. My oldest one is three years old and operating without any problems. Internal parts are easy to access.

I had an old furnace from the 70s, it was time for an upgrade. This is very nice looking, runs great, quite, warm. It does produce quite a bit of condensation so you need a pump and neutralizer. Very happy with this product! Thank you!

This is actually the second Goodman furnace I've purchased. The first was for my own home the second was for my sons. the motherboard diagnostic system worked beautifully a couple years ago it let me know the furnace was shutting down because the condensate drain was clogged. Cleaned it out and it's good to go I've had years of good service.

I cannot provide a review for this product as this unit has been discontinued according to the seller. My review therefore covers a GMES960803BN which was provided by the seller after a phone conversation. The unit I purchased is a single stage, 80,000 BTU, 96% Afue with a multi speed ECM blower. Furnace is exactly what I wanted to install and works very well. I would recommend the unit be installed by a qualified gas fitter as specialized tools are required. The four star rating is taking in the overall purchase and delivery experience and does not rate the GMSS furnace. Overall the furnace I purchased, so far, is rated at 5 Stars..
