Nice little lock (Updated)
UPDATE: The pin that allows the lock to open/close popped out a few times, and eventually disappeared. Unlocking springs it open with some force, so the locking piece went flying. It actually works without the pin, but you have to be careful you don't lose the locking part. This thing isn't bulletproof, does not have LEDs, can't be smart bike integrated or respond to voice commands, doesn't come with a dubiously useful app, and does NOT make coffee. It also unlocks using a key, which is technology that's thousands of years old. But this cheap little bugger locks a helmet to a motorcycle, which is its entire reason for existing.I thought there were right and left versions of this, but it might have been some other similar rebrand. (Update: There ARE left/right versions, but you should be able to buy a keyed pair so you aren't stuck with a ton of keys.) I got a black one, since the colored ones apparently don't match and I don't want to draw attention to a helmet lock on my black 2020 Z650. It integrates nicely, was easy as could be to install, and is easy to use. I have a Sidici Strada II that seems to have slightly short strap to the D-rings, but it works just fine. I also have a 14" round Delkevic exhaust which sticks out near the passenger peg, but have never had to worry about the helmet hitting the exhaust tip. As far as material finishing, I didn't even bother giving it a good look, but didn't notice anything obvious. (It's $20!) The black is a very matte coating, and anything sliver is polished.I can't comment on corrosion, but I'm certainly going to keep it lightly lubed. Even though I RARELY ride in the rain and keep it in the garage, I don't expect we're using any fancy corrosion-resistant alloys here. The little U-shaped bit that locks the D-rings down has noticeable play, but I never hear it rattling. They play does mean it wants to close due to gravity when I'm putting my helmet on it. When locking it, it sometimes gives a false positive 'click' that just means I learned to close it harder than seems needed. Even if it doesn't lock, the helmet isn't going to fall off if your parked.I left off one star because the tolerances are a bit loose with the locking mechanism as described, and because it's not the most sturdy thing around. Still, nobody is going to rip it off or break it by hand, and anyone who REALLY wants your helmet will get it no matter what lock you get. It's reasonably sturdy, does the job, and doesn't look out of place. A must buy if you don't want to either carry your helmet around or just have it sitting unsecured on your bike.REVISITATION: I've used this little guy a total of MAYBE 10 times. Today I pull into my dentist's office looking all cool, pop my helmet off and look around to find nobody seeing me trying so hard to be cool, then go to lock up my helmet. I insert key. I turn key. PING! The u-shaped gate that goes through the D-rings pops off. I don't mean it fell out, but that thing whipped open as usual and just came out, made the "ping" sound and kind of spun around in the air before falling to the ground. I froze as my brain tried to understand what in the heck just happened. Then I started laughing, because it was so dramatic, unexpected, and just plain weird that it just cracked me up! Turns out the pin that U-gate thingy pivots on worked it's way UP out of the hole enough that only the locking end was holding the gate on. There' s a pretty stiff spring that pulls it open, so when I turned the key to set it free it opened alright, but kept going because the pin wasn't holding it in place. I just put it back and shoved the pin back in. I didn't have time to figure out it needed more than that, but that's pretty sad. I don't know if it's defective and haven't reached out to them yet, but HEADS UP!I'll update this and adjust stars as needed after that experience. I knocked one off (4 to 3) for the fact I literally BARELY used this thing and that happened. It might be a single defective unit.

Should have gone with the black
The product is just what is described. Works great and looks sleek. Only thing is the color is off what is pictured. It's more pastel than a bright anodized.

Great but not the best
Works great and such an easy install. Only 3 stars because some days it refused to click into place and 4-5 tries later it finally locks
