A Day at a Zoo (Time Goes By)

This book is a neat way to learn about things that go on at a zoo. It shows the same scene throughout the day, showing different events happening. It is a little unrealistic and silly sometimes, but there are still fun things to learn from it and enjoy. Animals escape, tv crews arrive, a new animal arrives, a couple school children hide in an animal exhibit. There are things to search for in each picture. You can watch an animal throughout the day to see various activities...playing, eating, visits from vets, and more. We enjoy reading this book, and it is a frequent request for bedtime reading.

I love this style book. It is a great way to spend reading time with pre-readers

My son loves it. We couldn't get why there are always some petty crimes in this series...

Watch time pass at the zoo and keep an eye on all the animals. One criticism is the petty crime that occurs -- I don't think it was necessary and it introduces fear into anotherwise benign environment. Still, okay for readers 7-8 and up.

We love the "Time Goes By" books. The kids search the pages over and over.

the kids (3 1/2 and 7 both loves this as well as the other books in the series. Great fun looking for all the things hidden in the big picture.

These are fun books that allow the whole family to find funny, silly things. Everytime you read them you will find something new. Don't agree with the other reviewers about some things being inappropriate. I believe someone said there was a thief in this one and didn't want to expose their children to that. Well, welcome to the real world. Sit down, spend time with your family and have fun with this book.

This one gets read every night. And I'm okay with that, it's a cute book.
