WOW! A must buy for beach goers!
I can't believe I didn't know about these sooner!!!I (we - my husband also got a pair and loved them) bought these to take on our Mexico beach vacation. I've brought other water shoes before, and while good for excursions and such, they were not good for just walking on the beach because they would quickly fill with sand. THESE are great for beach walking! The sand on the beach in Cabo heats up quickly during the day, and will actually burn your feet if you're not careful! These made it so easy to just slip on and walk on the sand without feeling ANY heat. They are also SUPER comfortable! They are light weight and soft. I actually wondered if they were going to work and hold up because of that, but they were perfect! We also used them when we went Kayaking and Jet Skiing; they had great traction for getting on and off the equipment. Additionally, I wore mine in my flippers when we went snorkeling, because I inevitably either rub my heals and/or the tops of my feet raw if I don't wear something, and these fit in the flippers perfectly.NOTE!!!!!! DON'T GET A SHORTER ANKLE VERSION! Get the taller - over the ankle - crew size. My niece brought a different brand that was only ankle height, and she had a LOT of trouble with hers quickly filling up with sand just walking on the beach. Also - these are not for standing and playing in the rough surf and letting the waves (full of sand) crash over your feet and legs. Even with the adjustable ankle strap, the waves were too strong, and would push the sock down, which would then cause them to fill up with sand. They are easy to wash and quick to dry. I just washed ours in the sink with some mild soap, rinsed well, and hung them to dry.The size was also perfect for both me and my husband. I wear a size 7 to 7.5 women's and purchased the Small. My husband wears a size 10, and we got him the Large.

Read the fine print!
Didn’t realize there was a no return policy. So now I’m stuck with sand socks that don’t fit. If you think you may need to return, read the fine print first! Never had something I’ve ordered from Amazon unreturnable. Disappointed.

Runs large
I just received these so I can not speak to the quality yet, but will amend after I have used them. I wear a ladies size 9 & ordered a medium and they are huge-- thinking I need to wxchange for a small. The blue floral are a nice Hawaiian print and come up about ankle high with an adjustable tab at the ankle. The bottom has a slight padding. I want to wear with my Columbia water sneakers so I tried on the sneakers both with and without their innersoles and these socks-- without the innersole the socks will work perfectly, with they are a bit snug.

Perfect Sand Volleyball Socks!
LOVE LOVE LOVE these socks for sand volleyball!I bought these after I couldn't handle my feet being raw after playing a few hours of sand volleyball on rough sand. These socks have been perfect and they are holding up really well after a month of playing. I will put pics up at the end of summer to show you how they hold up. But even if they only last 1 summer they are so worth the price. Normal socks don't last 2 games.I wear a 9.5 women's and I ordered a M (8-9) and they fit perfect.

These will hold up exremely well for what they are designed for......what I put them through, maybe not so much but read on.....
I am rehabing a right hip replacement 9-12-15. Physical therapy is in the pool and my surgeon said let's not baby this and to push as hard as I can and he's right at this point! Started running in 4 to 5 feet of water but being in the water for 45 minutes prior, doing PT exercises and stretching my feet are already "prunie". I begin using a running motion to reteach the muscles and ligaments to move in a running motion pushing off the bottom of the pool to move forward. The pool floor is typical rough and after 15 to 20 minutes and a few laps I learned that I was wearing the skin off my toes and balls of my feet. Tried "water socks" but the glued in liner eventually just wrinkled up under the pushing pressure. So I looked to Amazon to find some sort of water sock with a rubber sole and bought a couple styles that were way too big and much more expensive. Tried these today for the first time, they are thinner and have a fabric sole that is slick on home floors. Did my rehab PT then ran 18 laps or about 900 ft.Pros: These are light and there is a scuba like material that seems to be sown into the insole. They protected already tender feet well. I put them through the ringer here.....read further please.Cons: The socks do move some after a lot of activity, partly because of the pressure pushing off of them but partly because the opening has Velcro to help tighten the top/opening around the ankle which is not long enough to allow for narrow or tapered calves. Suggest that the Velcro stitched in the area for the Velcro strap to attach be extended at least twice as long to allow for a tighter adjustment for those who might need it.Now, I said I put this through the ringer and even though I was in a pool, I put some serious running pressure on these socks. Turns out they fared pretty well but will not last under the tasks I am asking them to do at this point. The right foot showed little wear and is the hip I am rehabing. The left foot shows a serious wear pattern and there is early evidence of a tear in the material at his point. See pictures attached. Please, all you scuba enthusiasts DO NOT write me and tell me these are for scuba activities....I know that. This is an experiment to see if the lighter sock might hold up for about 6 more weeks of rehab and extra exercise to get me back to where I was before I was injured the better part of 9 years ago.

Wouldn't Buy Again, Not Horrible
A few quick thoughts:1) Sand still got inside the sock within a few minutes of being on the beach.2) I have never seen a human foot shaped like the bottom of this thing.3) I only knew what size to get from reading the other reviews (order a smaller size than normal). I normally wear a 8.5 in man-dude size, and the small is still a bit too long for my foot.

Beach Volleyball Must!
On hot days, when the sand is blazing and your feet feel the burn, sand socks will give you an added edge. Plus they'll protect your feet from intense drying/cracking and burning! These are a great price and aren't much different from the leading Vincere brand, and the design is awesome, I like to think of the Blue as "Computer Blue".I definitely recommend these because its great to have them even if just for a backup. It makes for more time playing in the Sun and less time hopping on hot sand.
