This is a beast! The sharpening is easy and quick, unlike other sharpeners that require many rotations of the pencils to achieve a sharp point. This works quickly and smoothly and creates a wonderfully fine point. An office must-have!

I bought this to replace my broken 10 year old sharpener. This product worked great at first. We used it 3 times and then it stopped working. Would not buy again. Very disappointed.

I bought this to replace the iPoint orbit also by Wescott because it suddenly will only sharpen a pencil at an angle. I was very surprised and disappointed to see that this one does not have the grinding metal gears to sharpen that my old one does. Instead it has a basic blade pencil sharpener inside on a spinning axis. I also somehow missed that this is a battery operated item, because I specifically searched on here for plugged in electric sharpeners. I am sending it right back. I'd rather get an old school hand crank sharpener like my grandpa used to have than a basic cheap sharpener on a spinning axis. I don't think this will last long and it isn't what was depicted in the photo of this item. Product photo clearly shows the metal sharpener gear but actual item doesn't have it. I'm sending it straight back.

We bought this for a friend with little kids that like to draw, hence lots of sharpening due to broken tips. As a teacher I knew this would be perfect for them as this survives my classroom! I have tried cheaper sharpeners, but this Westcott never fails us. It is easy to dump the shavings and fairly easy to remove the lead from broken tips. All in all, it is the best one out there for the money.

I am so glad I purchased this sharpener. The teacher's reviews were extremely helpful. I was able to quickly sharpen 100 pencils with no issues. Easy to use and clean. I give it an A+.

I bought this a few years ago for my classroom. I have teachers sending their students from doors away to use my pencil sharpener. Well now I have a student at home and I am only going to buy the best! I will say though first time using cute pencils and it needs emptying more with those since it can't shave the plastic printed coating on those pencils. Still works and sharpens great, you will just see like long single peels of plastic. If you don't empty often with those I would assume it could cause issues.

This is really easy to put on my ipad with the accompanying accessories. It sticks hard and the touch works like with no proctor applied.
