MG, Made in Abingdon: Echoes from the shopfloor
M**.
Good read
Gives accounts of events and how people reacted in the family of MG workers. Not really a history of the car and it's evolution.

Longtime MG/MGB enthusiast.
MGs and early British sports cars were the cars of my youth. At 67 I've owned, driven, maintained and enjoyed a few MGBs. I have also purchased a number of MG books over the years. I especially enjoyed this book because of its more intimate telling of the people behind the cars. If you are a die hard MG enthusiast you will appreciate this book.

Good read if you have a vested interest.
It brought me back 40 years when I walked down Abington production line on tour with my Son, Great!

Heartwarming insight into the life of the Abington factory.
Very fragmented and repetitive writing style. At times unstructured. Insufficient background information for a newby to the subject matter.

Great content but disappointingly cheap, stiff binding
Great content -- Lots of interesting MG works stories never told before. This book is a good read for fans of early MG's. The unfortunate aspect of this book is that publisher Veloce has gone way too far in their attempt to create "value" books. This has become a hallmark of what Veloce are doing these days -- lots of really "cheap" bindings. The binding is so stiff that the book will not lay open. You have to hold it with two hands to read it. Personally, I would greatly prefer to pay a few more quid for better quality.
