This is a great item to hold your keys on your belt-loop. The springs haven't weakened at all and I've been using it for more than a year (in and out of cars, manual labor) and they don't snag eitherUPDATE 2018: I am still using it today and it has had no issue. I use it daily to carry my keys. I try to keep my key chain as light as possible, but even then, I would have the large car keys for both my wife and I, and then a couple of house keys on top of that. Now I can just clip my keys to my belt loop and not worry about keys stabbing me in the leg or falling out of the pockets of my cargo shorts. The bottle opener is also a big plus, no man should be without. It's such a great price. I was reluctant on the silver color at first thinking it would just be an ugly metal or scratch easy. I've had it a month now and it seems to be holding up just fine. I purchased two more because they are so cheap, even with the free add on shipping.

I originally envisioned using this as a key chain, but found it a little too bulky for a few keys in my pocket. Can't knock stars for that because I really don't think they could have maintained the multipurpose nature of it if they had made it any smaller. I think it would work best if you have a large set of keys you clip to your belt loop--just push it toward your body as you rotate the S off the loop to keep the nub from hanging up. Definitely worthy of a shop or desk drawer.The bottle opener aspect works perfectly. It feels rugged, but given that it's marked "not for climbing" I wouldn't trust it with a lot of tension in other applications. Overall, a nice multipurpose item.

I bought this carabiner because of its bottle cap popping ability. I'm tired of going to parties where there is either no bottle opener or I have to find where the last user put down that one community bottle opener before I can enjoy a cold brew. This is so cool -- efficient and effective. I just clip it onto my belt loop and it's always conveniently at hand. Makes me a popular guy too! Just make sure you get it back.I bought another to clip my reusable grocery store bags (the ChicoBag type). I keep two or three bags clipped to one side of the clip, then just clip the other side to my belt loop before I head out shopping. I no longer have to worry about anyone 'lifting' the expensive reusable stuff bags out of my cart when I'm not watching, and they are all right at hand when needed ... I just peel off the number needed to bag my purchase.

The carabiner is very sturdy and functional. I used to use a random, cheap mini-carabiner for my keys, so this S-Biner is taking some getting used to since it isn't a full circle-- keys can't be ordered differently.However, the bottle opener function of this product... is definitely underwhelming. Like a previous reviewer said, it has trouble with bottles that have the cap much closer to the lip. The clip can't get under it well enough to actually open the bottle. And once the air pressure is let out, it still doesn't pry the cap off very nicely. It also dents the cap, but does not really bend it in half.It's a cool novelty item, though. I don't think it'll last as my primary bottle opener unfortunately.Update: I am still using this carabiner + bottle opener over a year and a half later. So, despite my last comments indication it being underwhelming, I still recommend it. It's plenty sturdy, and it took some practice to get used to the bottle opener, but I'm pretty good at using the opener now. I've found that using it "backwards" works better for many bottles. Backwards meaning using the little hump where the cap icon is to get under the lip of the cap-- That seems to work pretty well. It's always nice to be at a party and able to pull out my keys to open a bottle for myself or someone else.

I purchased an item like this from REI Before and this one leaps and bounds better for less money. The one from REI had issues less than a month after. The spring clips would fall out and I ended up loosing one side. The spring clips on this one are durable and I have yet to have any issues. It has lasted longer that its REI Counterpart. I Have it on my work keys and it hangs from my belt loop for the entire day. The finish has held up beautifully and you can hardly see the scratches that are there.This is also one of the best key chain bottle openers Ihave ever had. Open the bottle first time every time and there is no visible wear from use.

Bought this to use as a key ring since my keys fall off of regular ones all the time when removing it from my belt loop. The bottom loop keeps them secure, and I can still remove them with ease when needed. Prefer a minimalist approach to gear and this helped cut out a bottle opener key chain. I love it. Very sturdy.- My only critique would be to make the levers a little more finger-friendly. It takes real purpose to get this off my belt loop or bag.

I use this to clip a bag to my bike basket, and it works great for that. It stays on the bag, so I always know where it is if I require its secondary function. At first I wondered why they would put the bottle opener on both sides--never would you need to use both at once. Then I realized "why not?" This way it doesn't matter which side is clipped--an opener is always at the ready.The opener design is excellent. It gives a solid grip on the bottle neck and cap. I imagine that I will use this for many years.

I used to own a generic carabiner that I bought from Wal-Mart. I got this item for $0.50 as an Amazon add-on item and it's SO much better. The S-design makes it easy to remove my keyring without detaching it from my belt loops. It also serves as a bottle opener, which I have yet to test but it is definitely sturdy enough.I'm really big about Everyday Carry. My old carabiner would get caught on the stitching of my belt loops and damage my pants. This is made a smooth and sturdy metal that allows it to seamlessly slide in and out of my belt loops. The spring is quite strong and secures my everyday carry keyring.I like how the "S" design has been incorporated into this as I can clip it on anyway I want. There's no correct way to clip it on to your pants. It really does have this ambidextrous feel.I really recommend this product if you haven't really thought much of how you carry your keys. I always use to get by with your cheap, last-minute items while waiting in line at those big box stores, but I can see this product lasting me a very long time.I recommend this product. Bin sehr viel mit meinen Hunden unterwegs und da hat man nicht nur eine Leine bei sich. Es ist dann sehr einfach mal den Schlüssel oder ander Teile zu sichern, wenn man mal beide Hände frei haben muß. Die Option mit dem Flaschenöffner ist nett, aber nicht unbedingt notwendig. Die S-Biner sind stabil und es werden wohl nicht die letzten sein, die ich bestellt habe. Kann die Teile nur empfehlen.
