## Description

desertcart.com: Naoki Matcha Organic First Spring Blend Matcha, 100g/3.5oz | Authentic Japanese Ceremonial Grade First Harvest Matcha Green Tea Powder from Kagoshima, Japan : Grocery & Gourmet Food

Review: Love this - I'm obsessed. I am SO glad I switched from coffee to matcha. Coffee is too acidic and intense for me. I used to be obsessed with coffee, now I am obsessed with matcha X). Coffee started giving me PVCs in my mid 30s unfortunately. This does not. I would like to flag, however that, while the tannins and polyphenols in teas do NOT decrease the serum iron levels in your blood/body (ferritin, nor your CBC), they DO negatively impact iron absorption. I take Thorne Ferrasorb daily, but I take it at night, far away from my morning matcha, so it doesn't interfere with that. Just a head's up for my potentially anemic or iron deficient folks out there. Now, back to the product: if you have discovered the truth about matcha and tea like I did, and know that color actually represents health benefits and quality (richer, deeper, bolder green reflects the way it was grown and harvested, and indicates that there are more polyphenols such as antioxidants/catechins - EGCG, chlorophyll, l-theanine), as well as about third party testing for heavy metals, do not fear! This matcha ACTUALLY looks like the photos, is high quality, and is third-party tested and transparent. It's really difficult to capture the true color, even with flash on, but I've attempted to include a pic here. I transfer mine from the bag into a glass jar for appearance in my kitchen and ease of use - keeping it in the bag is likely the best way to keep it fresh though. The texture is perfect; it blends easily and does not clump. It leaves me with controlled, clean, non-jittery energy. It is SO DELICIOUS, earthy, smooth, and not bitter. REMEMBER that you cannot mix boiling water with matcha or it will compromise the color and make it taste bitter. This is also a lot of high quality matcha for the price, especially considering the regions from which it is sourced and all of the work that goes into getting it from the seeds to your cup! 10/10 recommend
Review: Great Matcha for Making Lattes at Home - I really like this matcha! I’ve been drinking matcha for years but had never tried making it at home, and this made the process so easy. It mixes together really well and has a smooth consistency with very few clumps. The quality definitely exceeded my expectations, and I love that it’s organic. It has a great flavor without being overly sweet or bitter. I like to add a little honey to mine, and it comes out perfect every time. I’ll definitely be buying it again!

## Features

- ✓ Our Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha in Larger Packaging – Bigger packaging that offers both convenience and even greater value! Our 3.5 oz / 100g package serves a total of 50 servings. 1 tsp (2 grams) of matcha powder makes either a cup of matcha tea (usucha) or a small matcha latte. We recommend to beginners looking for a decent, all rounded organic ceremonial grade matcha that provides good value for the price.
- ✓ Mild, Mellow Taste Without Any Bitterness – A smooth yet mellow taste with notes of raw cacao makes this an excellent blend of matcha for matcha lattes, matcha teas or usucha. It has virtually no unpleasant bitterness or astringency.
- ✓Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha - Certified organic by JAS (recognised by USDA). Made from the First Harvest tea leaves from the hilly Kirishima region just outside of Kagoshima city. The tea plants are shade grown, processed into tencha at modern facilities and only ground into matcha powder right before it leaves Japan for the USA.
- ✓ Improve Your Focus, Boost Energy Without Coffee – Greatly increase your focus and energy by drinking Naoki Matcha. Unlike the typical caffeine rush from coffee, the amino acid L-theanine in Naoki Matcha slowly releases the caffeine which helps to relax the mind and body while providing a steady boost of energy for up to 6 hours.
- ✓ Proudly Made In Kagoshima - Uji and Kyoto may be the spiritual homes of matcha, but Kagoshima is rapidly growing as a producer of quality matcha. The volcanic soil in Kagoshima has a unique terroir and the tea estates’ there are willing to depart from tradition to create bold new tastes and flavors.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you put matcha powder directly in the can without degrading the matcha? Or do you need to keep the foil bag lining?**
A: I have always kept the matcha in the foil liner just for a little bit of more protection. But you can put it in the Can it shouldn’t take away from the freshness of the tea as long as it’s in the refrigerator.

**Q: How many cups does one package make?**
A: Using 1/2 teaspoon per cup you can get approximately 30-35 cups of tea.

**Q: Is this product gluten free?**
A: Just matcha, nothing added.

**Q: Has it been tested for lead and radiation and did it test negative/zero?**
A: These are supposed to be Japanese blends, planted in Japan, so lead shouldn't be an issue. As for radiation, it seems teas haven't tested positive for it (even by Japanese standards) since 2014. And matcha has to be really, really fresh.
