good strength at 5x but cheaply made rim (cheesy/you can feel the seam) and the choice of chain is even cheasier

Pretty magnifying pendant. It is heavy around the neck. Chain looks and feels cheap (we'll see how long the chain will last). Has a limited field of vision, i.e., it reads only word by word. You would not be able to read the ingredients off a box for instance. It does what it does.

Broke easily and can no longer use. Chain is no longer gold.

I called this magnifying glass necklace my third eye! I have macular degeneration and consequently very poor vision. This is so helpful! I want another one!

A bit hard to focus but otherwise OK

Pretty, looks like fashion jewelry & goes with any outfit. PROBLEM: The closing catch is extremely tiny which is ironic since you'd need a magnifying glass to fasten it. The clasp also doesn't hold & somehow opens & the piece lands in your bra. I like it enough to find a solution on my own from a local jewelry store, Will probably cost more than item.

Very nice. I think the magnification is too strong for me at present, so I use a 3X pendant more. The ball chain is good looking and functional. The length is better for holding the lens near-ish your eye and moving the object, like a fine print label, close than for holding the lens near the object. The ring that wraps the lens is deep and protective so the lens won't touch a table top when you lay it down or bang into things when you bend over. Still, I'd wear it tucked under my blouse. The pendant is good looking in a functional way with the grooves on the 'stem' adding a decorative touch. The grooves are practical for unscrewing the pendant from the chain. Oh, my comments are from a woman's point of view, but I think this pendant is unisex.

Bought this for a female Sherlock Holmes costume. It's very pretty, comfortable to wear, and I love that it's a fully functional magnifying glass.
