This door knob over all isn't bad it looks nice made from decent material feels sturdy the instalation however wasn't a breeze follow the instrictions to the best of your ability I had install twice the first time it wouldn't lock from the outside at all but after I took it back apart I turned the square tube that connects the inside and outside handle the opposite direction put it back together registered thumb print and works great now so to reiterate make sure before you install this you turn the square connector tube to "locked" or it won't automatically lock itself

So I thought I would write up this review because I had a problem with the door lock not locking as I see others are as well. No where in the instructions nor on the web does it talk about rotating the metal tub that connects the two levers. You must rotate the tub in the lock position before installing. If you do not do this then it will never lock itself. I would advise anyone who will install this do it on a table first. Connect everything and verify it’s working. If not rotate the tub and retest.

Maybe I got a fluke but it was missing pieces and it wasn’t even the same product the instructions showed. Also the instructions were horrible!Only gave it 2 stars since it seems sturdy and like it would hold up IF it was the correct product. Highly disappointed and highly annoyed with the return process.

As others have mentioned, the instructions leave a lot to be desired: I was sure the thing was defective when I installed it, and I'm an experienced home improvement person.Not mentioned in the description is that the handle always locks itself shortly after unlocking it. I bought the unit to secure my bedroom from my children when I'm not around, but I don't need it to always be locked.

Ok.. for the price it's good.. but let's break down the experience from someone who is a technical engineer which means this should be easy peazy.. 1st the instructions are God awful not very clear / poor English directions, it scratches semiessily, can't tell which way to put the batteries in prime handle..but I will say it's made from heavy material, noyce profile and easy to program and delete..

This device works exactly as described. I installed it in about an hour but it took me a while to figure it out. The directions are in very poorly written English. The majority of people leaving poor reviews here aren't suffering from a poor quality door lock, they are suffering from poor directions. For those struggling, keep trying you'll figure it out.

With NO instructions I cant be sure if I even set the "finger print" reader up correctly, however, it requires a touch to open the door I say touch because it doesnt care if its an elbow,knee or toe and it will open for any one. Waste of money to me but I have it installed now so yippy. Also the 4 keys that came with it dont really do anything you can insert the key but it doesnt turn or lock the door so theres that too. I cant find anything about the product online either.

We wanted something to keep the kiddos out of the pantry while we are all "staying at home".Like other have said, the instructions are not great. I would strongly recommend watching the company's videos on the page if you are having trouble. They are specifically useful in showing you how to set up the fingerprints. Also, for those saying the lock mechanism doesn't engage. You may have installed it incorrectly. This was how ours was and then my husband took it apart and reinstalled and bingo! It works! This is just the first day. Hopefully it will last for many years.
