FORM Smart Swim 1 - Goggles

As a regular (but still amateur) swimmer, I've found these to be a game changer. Build quality is superb (even if the anti-fog still fogs a little); they're comfy and come with a comprehensive set of nosepieces to guarantee the best fit. Given the amount of technology packed into them, they're very unobtrusive; you'd never know that they were smart goggles by looking at them. The display is clear and easy to customise, with dashboards for swimming, resting, and turning. You can pretty much choose whatever data you'd like for each of them. There is a slight reduction in peripheral vision, but the HUD doesn't interfere with your vision nearly as much as some reviewers have stated. The app is simply brilliant, and captures plenty of rich data – its integration with Strava is fantastic, with an elegant image showing your stats. There are a few niggles. You do need to keep them on, and not rinse them when you're resting. Doing so might compromise the coating, and also tends to misregister as additional lengths. But that's a minor quibble giving that this is cutting-edge tech. It's like being in a little fighter jet. Sadly without the torpedoes...

Being a gadget nut these goggles appealed to me as I intended to take up swimming for fitness again and, as a great piece of tech, they tick all the boxes. However the biggest benefit has been just how motivational they are. One sees the distance achieved thus far and is driven to meet the target you set. No more counting the lengths tirelessly in your mind and convincing yourself that you've done enough. It's right there in front of you coldly, unemotionally telling you what you have done and reminding you It's not enough if you're short. Before I would excuse myself and only do the few I did whimping out when I felt slightly jaded. Now I have this bright big number I can watch count down until I reach my goal. Absolutely fantastic. They are super-easy to use, great battery life and the companion app gives lots of interesting stats once you've synchronised your goggles after your swim. The build quality is superb and the included case helpful and practical. I know that these are a lot of money and for just a gadget I was being overly extravagant. But, these are a lot more and so worth the money.

I'll start by saying I'm a serious competitive swimmer and have committed a lot of my life to being in the pool. Pros: The actual tech in these things is amazing. They accurately detect strokes, finishing your reps and auto-pausing and give you pace updates at the end of each length. Visually I have no problem seeing the screen and data displayed. I have a slight prescription and it's plenty clear enough. You can adjust the brightness if you want- useful for indoor vs outdoor swimming. There have also been some good updates to the data display options- giving the user the ability to customize what you see when you swim, turn and rest. What impresses me the most is that you dont need to press a single button once you get started- it picks up all your sets, rests, strokes etc automatically. The app and the data that is produced is incredible too. You can spend longer analysing your swim than you do in the pool if you're not careful! Syncs with Strava and Garmin fine. Strava workout analysis summary displays perfectly. And you can link to your Garmin GPS watch for accurate open water swims too. Cons: The visibility out of the goggles isnt great. Looking straight ahead is fine but peripheral view not so much. I find myself looking up out of my normal stroke position in freestyle to make sure I've got a clear view ahead. If you train in busy lanes this could be a problem. If they fixed this it would be 5 stars all the way. These arent something I'd use in competitions. The depth of the goggles means they are more prone to flipping up when diving in. Despite the fact the design of these goggles is more racing style than comfort. I'm not going to put price as a con here, because yes they are expensive, but it's new tech and it really works.

At first I have my doubts, mainly because of the price, but after 1 month of using them 2 times per week, I can say they are worth every penny. What is game changing for me is the data they provide so you can analyse what is going on during your workouts, so no more "blind" training. Not only you will be able to analyse the workout after you are done, but also in real time as you can customise the data you see in the display to better suit your needs. The controls are very intuitive, you get used to them really in a couple of minutes and the app is fantastic, cannot fault it at all. The structured workouts and plans to follow is what is taking my swimming to the next level. I did not realise how important this was until now that I have completed my first full plan of structured workouts and my swimming has improved in 1 month MORE than in the latest complete year of swimming on my own. Adding individual workouts or complete plans of series of structured workouts from the app is super fast and hassle-less, which is another positive point if you seek to just invest time in what really matters.

I was really looking forward to receiving the smart goggles but was disappointed when I opened the product and found the strap was stuck together and very fragile. When I tried to prise the strap open, it broke. I have used an old strap from much, much cheaper goggles. Another feature is that you cannot put in the length of pools - the lowest you can go down to is a 15 m pool. I have to keep working out the stats myself.

Li ho presi per non guardare continuamente il mio fenix 6x durante il nuoto a mare, cosi da avere la distanza il tempo e l HR in tempo reale. Devo dire che vanno abbastanza bene messi entrambi sullo stesso lato (nel caso mio il destro) l aggiornamento e' molto rapido praticamente ogni bracciata, al costo in un leggero consumo supplementare sul fenix 6x (passa dal 4%/ora al 13%/ora) ma accettabile. Compatibilita perfetta col fenix 6 connessione immediata, visibilita ottima anche col sole forte e vestibilita comoda. Non si appannano almeno per il momento. Li avrei preferiti con un campo visivo piu ampio, e' ridotto rispetto gli altri occhialini che tipicamente uso sia in piscina che a mare, ed a mare e meglio avere una visibilita piu ampia. Gli aggiornamenti software sono abbastanza frequenti, spero che aggiungano ulteriori metriche e la navigazione che indichi la direzione rispetto un percorso precaricato, sono fiduciono. Per quanto riguarda sia l app che la configurabilita sono abbastanza intuitivi e ben fatte anche in assenza di manuale ti guidano facilmente. La rotazione delle informazioni anche se non configurabile come tempo ha la frequenza giusta a mio parere. Bisogna indossarli un po di volte per abituarsi al fatto che il display e' su un occhio solo, all inizio da un po fastidio, PRO: Facilita d'uso software e firmware ben fatti durata batteria Contro: Campo visivo costo (ma e' giustificato dal fatto che e' un prodotto escusivo)

The app is free for a year so you can download 5 programs to your glasses and havr choice. You can even download a 12 week tri program for on and off season and other programs. All this is compatible with STRAVA app auto transfers all your data automatically oncexin proximaty to your phone and also syncs to your form app. The details of your swims are amazing even ip to the angle of your head is given for max performance speed and strength. I definetly recommend these goggles. I havent used them in open water yet but you can also pour switch from pool to open water with gps compatibility when wearing a watch. Wait till they come on special before but diefinetly worth the investment. Comes with a hard case nose piece adjustement fof all types of people. Battery is also amazing uses about 5 to 10% for every 2000m thats including power loss between trainnings every day. I charge them every three days but there is still 75% charge in them so i figure you could swim a full week before charging. This is based on a 2000m trainning routine 5 days a week.

Un très grand dommage pour l'application qui est uniquement en anglais et demande de payer 20€ pour pouvoir activer les lunettes c'est un de mes plus gros regret sur ces lunettes pour l'instant ! Néanmoins dans la piscine elle affiche le temps passé et le nombre de mètres fais par palier de 25m ou 50m selon la longueur de la piscine elle ont bien 16h d'autonomie ! Le changement du plastique du nez est assez dure et le caoutchouc des lunettes semble pas foufou mais à voir dans le temps comme certains commentaires disent qu'elle ne tiennent pas dans le temps !

Super okulary, mnogość ustawień i dostępnych danych po każdym pływaniu wręcz powala. Kilka wymiennych nosków zapewnia możliwość dopasowania do własnych oczu - z tym zawsze miałem kłopot a tutaj nie. Noski zakrzywione - rewelacja. Na początku prawe oko puszczało wodę ale wybranie opcji lustrzanej załatwiło sprawę. Jedyny kłopot przy zakładaniu konta - system nie puszczał dalej. PAMIĘTAJ, trzeba mieć w telefonie włączoną lokalizację i po problemie. Sprzęt warty każdej złotówki.
