GALAX PRO 20V Cordless Detail Sander, Dust Collection, 20Pcs Sandpapers

First, understand that I bought this for occasional use on minor jobs - smoothing edges of cut wood, etc. I did not buy it as a hard working DIY tool for (e.g. rubbing down when decorating). The cordless feature was essential for my application. I can easily pick it up and use it anywhere without the need for cables, etc. It can be used at moment notice without preparation - I can even take it into the garden. This works well. The comfort of use is not so good as I might have hoped but is more than adequate for my needs The dust extraction facility is, so far, untested because of the minor nature of the tasks to which I put it. Spare sanding sheets are not listed on Amazona and the supplier does not offer then (I asked ) but after a bit of a search I found some on Amazon that had nearly the right pattern of extraction holes (though it would not have mattered for my purpose) - certainly near enough. I used SIQUK but I suspect that any with that visual pattern of holes would be OK. Overall, I am delighted with the item for my application and my star rating reflects that - it does not mean that I consider it to be as good as a 'quality' branded product - but it might be!

It does the job adequately but the battery runs out too quickly.

Easier to use than I anticipated. You feel the vibration but it is manageable. I don’t know how much dust it collects but there is less dust flying about. Does a good job sanding .

For the price this is a great piece kit ideal for the job

Rubbish! Dust bag keeps falling off & dust goes everywhere even when it is on & then stays in the air for ages! Battery lasts about 20-25 minutes, so I have to keep stopping & starting. My clothes are full of dust so I have to keep taking them off & having a shower & then putting some clean ones on as it's so much dust! I keep having to clean straight away where I'm sanding with wet kitchen towels. I'm spraying water to try & minimise it. I didn't use it for over a month. I'm so dissapointed with it I have even cried at all the mess everywhere! 😔

Does what it says on the tin. Battery ran for ages sanded all the woodwork in a room and didnt need a recharge. Only on second sandpaper disk
