seems great on my HP Pavilion!
I have an older HP Pavilion 6000 laptop that had 2gigs of memory, running Windows Vista 32bit. I don't want to upgrade the OS to 64bit, plus the manual states that the computer is maxed out at 2 gigs RAM. I figured that this 2 gig SODIMM was cheap enough to try as an upgrade and if it didn't work, I wasn't out much.Well, the ram was extremely easy to install. I buttoned up the back of the computer and turned it on. That extra 1 gig of ram made a significant difference in the time it took Windows to load. I wasn't really expecting such a large increase in speed, so I didn't time the machine to do before and after comparisons. I wish now that I had.I am extremely pleased with the performance boost that adding this SODIMM gave to my Pavilion. Not only does it load faster at boot, but everything else is faster to run. I played around with it for quite a while and the system is very stable and fast, no matter what I did, even when multiple windows were open and different programs running. Quite simply, this boosted my system to the point where I no longer feel the need to buy a new system.I really don't understand why these computer manufacturers always seem to list MAX ram on these laptops and netbooks, at such small numbers. Would it really hurt them to tell folks the truth about the actual max ram limitations? I don't know, but I wish that I had ignored their specification sheet long ago. This 1/3 ram increase really made a difference to me. I couldn't be more pleased with this Kingston memory.

You can never go wrong with Kingston products!
USAGE / THE BRAND:I've been working with computers for almost 2 decades now, and one manufacturer continues to be the cream of the crop when it relates to memory products, and recently SSD products: Kingston. Lifetime hassle-free replacement on almost all of their products was what set them apart years ago, and now other manufacturers are following in their footsteps. Not much to say specifically about this product except it's Kingston, and worked as expected. Great performance in my netbook.SPECIFIC USE:* Acer One ZG5 A150* Acer One ZG5 A110Putting this in either of the two models listed above is very easy. You just need a small phillips screwdriver, 15 minutes of time and steady hands. There are many guides out there on it, just search using your favorite search engine. Basically you remove the keyboard, take all the screws out of the bottom of the netbook (including under the rubbery feet), take the screws out of the top of the netbook (hidden under the keyboard), then pop apart the plastic. The memory is UNDER the motherboard, so you'll have to pop that out as well which is a few more screws.PROS:* Works perfect* Out of the box compatibility with Acer One ZG5 A1xx units* Reliable, fast* Lifetime warranty

Kingston ValueRam 2GB 667mhz
Apple users:For: "Discrete" MacBook Pro August 2008 "Silver keyboard" unibody (2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo 2Gb 256Mb VRAM 200Gb 5400 RPM).Wow, $30.99 for this? I couldn't pass this up so I purchased two. As you can see my MacBook Pro came with two 1GB Samsung Cards. Almost purchased the Crucial but this was actually the better price point. Installation was a breeze! Wasn't too sure on this one so I called Apple and they got online went to this site and looked up the model number of this Kingston and they said I would be good to go. They were right. If you want to save some money go with this. I was going to buy at Apple but they want $200 for their memory, I just saved $140! New Macs they charge $600, crazy! You'll be happy with the Kingston, I am. I love my Mac...Edit: 1/9/14, Still running these on my Macbook pro 15in late 2008 aluminum and it runs outstanding. Now I found out my mac will do 6gb so I'm hunting down a 4gb Ram to add and take my RAM to 6gb. Kingston is a great value compared to OWC that wants over $125 for the same RAM. I don't think so... Kingston is the way to go, I can't beat it.

Speeds up your netbook !!!
I bought a refurb 1GB Hannspree netbook, and while it was certainly adequate for all uses, it was a tad on the slow side. Once the 90 day warranty for refurbs was up (although Hannspree said a memory upgrade would not invalidate their warranty, but my warranty was from the refurb company) I ordered this 2GB module. It arrived yesterday, and I installed it with the help of my glasses and a magnifying glass. Figuring out the removal of the old memory card and the using the retainer clip was easy. OK, so it was time to fire it up! And fire up it did. The booting time was cut roughly in half. Programs open instantly. It's like lightening striking your desk. I removed the 4GB SD card I had been using with Windows Turbo / cache, as that didn't seem to do much in the way of adding speed, and I gave that card back to my camera. For some reason - probably price? - I have always used Kingston memory boards when enlarging my computer's memory. Always top quality, always perfect condition, always works. Great product for netbooks that use DDR2 667 MGz - PC 5300 . Awesome, baby!!
