First off, if you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself don't try this. Otherwise read on.This are the way to go if you don't like to pay for a Dentist visit. These come in factory sealed packages and are made in the USA so they are not a knockoffs. Yes they are $40.00 for a 4 pack but each insert should last a long time, about 6 to 8 months. You do need to buy the install / removal tool but you only need to buy this once. YouTube has good videos on installing and removing the locators (inserts) so its easy to learn how to do it. Since the tool and the locaters are available here on Amazon you can save a few bucks and change the locators when you need too and not wait for a dentist appointment.I would not recommend changing the locaters retention strength without consulting your dentist. You could have problems removing your dentures or worse.Overall its well worth the money to buy the tool and do your own locator replacement, very happy with these.
