my go-to krill oil ordered on subscription for several years
I order these krill oil for "kids" even as an adult because the compact form is very easy to swallow and spread out the dosage of omega-3 throughout the day. My doctor suggested supplementing with omega-3 and krill oil is supposedly more absorbable by the body due to being in phospholipid form. You need less omega-3 than in fish oil for the body to be able to get the benefits. I haven't noticed any fishy flavor, odor, or burps. Your mileage may vary. The only downside is the krill oil is quite expensive, but I don't think that's specific to this brand or variation. I'm supplementing with actual cans of fish as well - whole, real foods and more affordable. Definitely would recommend this supplement, though.

part of the solution for eczema / dry skin around eyes
My 5-year-old developed mild eczema around the eyes this past winter. Reading on the internet about other people’s experiences was overwhelming: the causes of eczema can be wide-ranging and highly individual. For me as a parent a solution seemed elusive. Had my son developed a new allergy to food, soap, pollen, mold, dust, pet dander, a toy or…? Endless possibilities to consider. How was I going to figure this out?In our case, I came to the conclusion that my son was suffering from very dry skin and needed internal and external hydration/healing. His eye eczema is slowly disappearing and is now 90% gone.I’m providing some details below to help anyone who is as frustrated as I was and is looking at possible solutions to their own or their child’s eczema. Here is a short version (sort of): One winter morning, my son woke up with what looked like some dry skin around both eyes. At first we tried keeping the area clean with very mild soap and water, and then with chamomile tea. No improvement. The irritation, over a week or two, got worse: some redness, swelling on the eyelids, teeny bumps, and lots of blinking and squinting. I tried removing things from the environment I suspected as culprits (too long of a list). No results. His pediatrician said it was eczema and suggested 1% hydrocortisone cream, but 1.) I was afraid of getting a rebound effect and 2.) I didn’t want to treat the symptom, only to have the underlying cause remain and keep him dependent on steroid cream. Plus, my internet reading found many people’s doctors wary of treating the eye area with steroid cream. My son had always had dry skin and with our wonky heater making the winter air even drier, I began to suspect that my son’s eczema was related to overall dryness. Dr. Mercola has some good articles relating to eczema and dry skin (no, I’m not affiliated).I tried over a dozen remedies, but I feel this was our path out of eczema, a plan for internal and external healing…1. increase the water intake (my son already drank water, but I became more vigilant about him drinking water after playing hard and with meals/snacks)2. kids’ krill oil supplement3. quality children’s vitamin with vitamin D34. probiotic (I used Biokult—I’m not affiliated)5. tallow balm (I used Vintage Traditions totally unscented version—still not affiliated; this balm has to be rubbed in clean hands to turn into a creamy consistency, but it is thick enough that with careful application, it won't eventually seep into the eye.)6. jojoba oil (sometimes mixed with the tallow balm)7. unrefined shea butter (I used one for Better Shea Butter) for the body8. keep finger nails well trimmed (because a 5-year-old is going to scratch or otherwise rub his face and irritate the area, no matter how much you plead)9. very thinly sliced cucumbers to calm irritation (worked for us better than oatmeal paste, honey or chamomile)10. shorten showers/baths and make sure the water is just warm and not too hot11. otherwise maintain a healthy diet and limit sweetsSome warnings… The irritated skin around my son’s outer eye felt like dry paper and had to be treated often. But even with careful application, some things I thought would be very soothing, like an aloe vera gel and a couple of quality creams, made that delicate eye area sting. And that is not a good thing to do when you need a cooperative 5-year-old! We never had problems with the tallow balm or the jojoba oil, but, to be safe, spot test any new ointments.Oh, and we also tried a hydration mist that seemed to aid in the healing, but I don’t want to get this post longer than it already it is. If interested, check out Batty’s Bath, a Canadian company. Her blog informed me about the difference between hydration and moisturization. We applied the tallow balm and/or jojoba oil constantly throughout the day so that his eye area was never dry for long. On weekends, I would treat his eye area every two hours, and put the cucumbers on his eyes 2-3 times a day. This routine requires lots of patience, as progress is slow and a scratch or a rub seems to take everything four steps back. This can easily be a many weeks-long process. No one paid me to write this post. I got no products for free. Good luck!UPDATE: My son's eczema took about two months to completely go away. Sometimes, his skin seemed almost back to normal for several days in a row, only to have it look pretty irritated again. I can only guess he was rubbing his eyes. Regardless, the skin's healing was a slow process, and on days when the dryness seemed to be worse after days of progress, I wondered if we would have to resort to steroid cream. We never did, though, and he is back to normal. I will update this if the eczema returns next winter.

Great Omega 3 choice
This works really well with my three children ages 9, 6 and 6. My 6-year old twins break out from regular fish oil, but they tolerate this krill oil very well. We don't get much fish/seafood in our diets, so I wanted some sort of Omega 3 supplementation, and this works perfectly. I cut the capsule with a scissors and mix the drops with some cranberry juice. The kids say there's a bit of bad flavor, but not so much that they won't drink it. My 9-year old swallows these easily.

Too large for my 3 year old to take
I think this product in itself is great, but if you are looking for something for little ones who don't have much experience with swallowing pills, it may or may not work for you. I was excited to find krill oil for kids bc I think it is supposed to be a better choice for omega 3. I was concerned about giving them to my 3 year old who has only done liquids and chewables, but several reviews made it sound like there would be no problem with them. My 8 year old takes these great but my 3 year old had a terrible time trying to swallow these. I could never get him to take them after that first attempt. And this is a kid who LOVES to take any kind of supplement or medicine, and he really tried. I was hesitant to get them but from other reviews the pills sounded so small. ..they aren't that small really. I imagined a little round pill, these are capsules that are oblong and just over a half of an inch long. We tried squeezing the oil out into yogurt, but after one bite he refused to eat more. So I went back to fish oil for him because I can't find liquid krill oil. (He loves the coromega omega-3 squeeze packs.) I know alot of other reviewers had a different experience and had no issues giving these to their kids, but just be aware that these may not work for every child.

Kid's Krill Oil-Miracle for Children with ADHD
This is a great product. Our youngest son has ADHD and his Dr. prescribed medication just wasn't doing all it should for him, but we did NOT want to add another prescription medication. After much research we learned of Mercola's Kid's Krill Oil and it has worked wonders for him.Even his doctor agree's that this works. The capsules are also small for children to be able to swallow more easily. I highly recommend this product.

For Adults who don't like to swallow big pills!
I've been wanting to try Krill Oil, but I hate swallowing regular sized capsules so I ordered this. They are are shaped like capsules, but are really tiny, so it's easy to swallow! I take two a day, probably should take 3 or 4 since the dose of 2 is intended for children. It's the only krill oil that I have found that comes in a tiny, easy to swallow capsule! I recommend this for adults who don't want large pills or large capsules.
