A best read for anyone!
I love 50 Women in the Blues because you can flip it over and start reading a story. Perfect for your coffee table. Jennifer Noble did a wonderful job with each artist.

Attention Blues Lovers
Beautifully done! This books gives a great perspective on some of the most talented women playing the blues today. With highlights of blues greats that came before, there is both history and a love for the genre as it focuses on all of the women who continue to contribute and carry on the legacy of blues music. Jennifer Noble's photography is phenomenal, presenting a portrait of each artist and capturing them at their best. Love this book!!!

who's in and who's out of this excellent compilation
excellent little book showcasing some of the great blues women across time. Part of what makes this so fascinating is who is included and who is not - some greats on both sides of the list.enjoy reading and getting a little bit more under the skins of some of my favouritte singers (and some i intend to check up on more)

A Must-Have For Blues Fans
Women musicians have always been well represented in the blues, even from the early days, although their contributions often go relatively unrecognised. This book rightly celebrates 50 of the best, obviously from the USA but also from the UK. The artists tell their own stories, and the pin-sharp colour photography is beautifully reproduced.

why so blue
this book i found disappointing not enough about the older blues singers ,and too much waffle about the authorspersonal present day favourites.
