The kids loved the toys. Hey seem to be good quality, well made except for the string. The blue one’s string came out of the ball on the first try. I repaired it with glue and a wooden toothpick. He tried it again and the string came out of the handle part. We were able to replace it and tie a larger knot. My 8 year old said “it’s just inferior workmanship,the boss probably doesn’t know”! Lol

These turned out to be the perfect Christmas gift for an 11-year-old boy whose parents had banned him from any electronic gifts. Thought it would be difficult to find something he enjoyed, but not only did he play with him Christmas Day, just about every adult took their turn, trying to master it Definitely kept everyone’s attention. Very nice quality and very good looking. Makes them hard to pass up when you walk by like that there were two of them as grandson was able to take one home and leave one here with us. We keep it on the coffee table, and I am amused at how many people pick it up and give their try at it.!

...for older kids. I'd say at least 10. My grandson, 11, took to it within an hour or so. The other one, at 8 years old, very quickly weaponized the toy.

I bought these for my boys 12 & 9. My 12 year old plays this constantly at his summer camp. He now teaches his younger brother to use the Kendama. The colors are cool, the price is right and they are very durable. Thanks for the great customer service as well.

Got these for my kids, 13 and 11. They love them. Today is the first day they've played with them but it's been a fun challenge.

These are great for entry level users. After a few days the knots pulled through and separated the けん from the たま. Also the paint is chipping off a very little bit. A problem that may be unique to our item is the ball has been drilled funny and the string is wearing away at an accelerated rate. That being said, these are still a great value and can be repaired with better strings.

These are dangerous for teens and elementary children. They have a very sharp top on them.Would not recommend as casual entertainmentThere has to be a better design than this one
