BEWIRED Charge and Sync Micro USB to USB Retractable Cable, Red-Black, 32 inch (Short)

I have the other retractable cables, and like others, note they have a limited life. The thin wires seems to jam or tangle and the retraction mechanism seems fragile.This one has a flat cable. It seems to retract better and the flat cable allows it to retract without a jam.The USB and micro USB fold into the device and make a very sleek appearance. I keep it in my briefcase and it never tangles with anything.The micro USB works and the USB syncs without a problem to my high output charger.So, time will tell, but I like this one.

Mine jammed at various places which was annoying because I wanted to be able to snap the connectors into the body. Also you couldn't unwind it to the perfect length - it had to be all the way out, or where it happened to jam, or (eventually) fully retracted.

broke on the second day of use, was jammed up , and the cords wouldn't even come out

Great product. Solidly made and rewinds without the annoying tangles. Works equally great with my iphones and androids. No more tangles in the bottom of my laptop bag!

It has good design and functions well. But the cable lock mechanism stops working in less than a year.

I had purchased about half a dozen of ReTrak retractable micro USB cables from Shoppers Drug Mart here in Canada for $19.99 a piece. At first they really solved my issues of clutter in my bike jacket and they fit all my bike lights perfectly with my Anker external battery. But after a month, they all one by one fell apart or no longer charged my phone etc. I purchased 6 of these Bewired Micro USB retractable cable devices and I'm really really impressed with their build quality and their consistent and predictable way they retract, i.e. no twisted wires and the ends click in softly into their respective slots. I feel I might lose a little bit of power transfer when charging my phone using the same Anker, but that makes sense since high gauge cables, like the ones that come with a high end Android phone are generally better quality. But it's not crazy noticeable vs. the ReTrak brand where I lost about 20% of a fluid charge. I use these cables to charge my phone, Astro A50 gaming headphones, Parrot Ziks, PS4 headphones, PS4 controllers, Sony A7 ii mirror-less camera, Sony tablet, Samsung Gear 2 and my Jaybirds without a hitch. You might wonder why I have so many items to charge using these cable, it's due to my portable usage of my Anker batteries around my one bedroom apartment that I share with my wife and baby. Instead of looking for a free wall plug, I bring the battery to where my devices rest i.e. I have a rack of dedicated headphones (five to be exact). So instead of having loose wires of different lengths lying all over the place, the Bewireds sit nicely on top of each other or next to each other. I've also labelled them with my dymo labeller so I can keep track of any faulty ones or assign them exclusively to one particular device.

After six weeks of gentle use the cable no longer "locks" - it's always trying to retract. A little disappointing, but the cable itself still charges my phone.

It extends and retracts. It charges. It doesn't do either brilliantly, but it does what the listing says, so three stars.

Bought this over 4 months ago - unlike other retractable cables, it doesn't tangle or stop retracting, and the magnets keep the ends nicely tucked away. I agree that the cord could be a little longer, but I liked these so much, I bought doubles of both this and the lightning. :-D

Very useful for keeping cables from getting tangled around the desk, and easy to use. Very pleased with this purchase!
